After using the mod myself for 4 years, I've made some careful changes to how often each new song plays by adjusting the time of day and region(s) for each, being a bit more discriminating than previously. So if you ever felt that certain tracks came up a little too often, then version 1.3 is for you.

Some examples of the changes in 1.3:

    • Night tracks start later - previously 6pm (sunset time), now 8pm (actual start of nighttime).
    • Jata used to play at any time of day, in almost any region, now it only plays during the day in Mountains, Tundra, and the Rift.
    • Ginnung (Part 2) used to play at any time of day, in almost any region, now it is a dusk track for the Mountain, Tundra, Pine Forest, and Snow regions.
    • Njol used to play at any time of the day, in almost any region, now it is a dusk, nighttime, and dawn track for the Snow and Mountain regions.
    And more in this vein.

There's no reason it wouldn't work.

Any recommendations for other music mods that are in line with Soule's Skyrim and Northerner Diaries? Even the often mentioned greats like Chapter II seem to be slightly off, imo.

After having this mod installed for two years I can no longer distinguish between what tracks are vanilla and what are from this one. 10/10.

(This goes for any mod that adds new music)
I'm not sure, you can check it yourself by opening both mods in xEdit to see if they conflict.

Just dropping in to say that these mods will conflict. I will probably release a patch soon.

Its easier to use patcher (mator smash for me) to patch all music mods.

This mod does not replace any vanilla tracks correct?

Is it safe to remove one of the xwm files if I don't want that song to play? Or will that mess with stuff.

I think there were some reports that music gets baked into the save file. I have no idea whether this is true or not, but I guess the safest way is to delete that file and then also the corresponding record(s) with xEdit
