Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you on this. Didn't even realize someone had commented. It uses the base follower system, so she should be safe to use with other follower mods.
I'm liking the concept. It's a great workaround to the situation a player often encounters wherein they are never actually susceptible to any real danger because their com-eatshield-panion will always just rise once again to finish the job and be a distraction. Non-essential companions are a workaround, but I know I like to have a friend along for the journey, and some people are actually sad when they accidentally kill Lydia. This very neatly ties up that problem with a follower that will always be there, but can die and can leave you in a vulnerable position mid-combat.
