Hi Not sure if this is a bug: 1. Start a new game. 2. Enter the wait menu. 3. When pressing A or D, the time scale movement will move much faster than normal. However, the time-scale movement speed will return to normal after restarting the game. Personally, I would prefer to have the auto-open mcm feature, even in its current state, It's better than nothing. And the time scale movement issue can be ignored if there is no better alternative.
I realized when scrolling through the inventory menu, the speed is super extra fast too. But as mentioned before, the issue goes away after restarting the game.
I can't reproduce neither of your issues. I don't have enough items from the start to be able to scroll but if i go to bartering menu or add a load of items from AddItemMenu then i don't have any issues with scrolling speed. I didn't quite get what you mean by "the time scale movement will move much faster than normal", but i haven't noticed anything unusual with movement or animation speed when running by pressing A or D. "time scale" is usually referred to the TimeScale global variable that controls how fast the game time goes in general, which affects the displayed time and the cycle of the day and night but not the speed of movement or animations. your issues may be caused by some of the mods you have. or maybe it's the game version, i'm on v1.5.97 .exe. you can check if you have these issues on a profile with only SUR and its requirements. and if you don't and if you can track it down to a specific mod that causes it then i could add it to the compatibility info. but other than that i can't do anything about it, there's only one way to open the MCM that i know, and if it causes any issues then there's nothing i can change in it to avoid these issues.

I didn't even know you can do that, and there's no way i could get what you mean from your wording. though, i can't reproduce this issue neither. and for me it's mapped not to WASD but to the arrows, idk if it depends on the game version or if it's just your mapping, but who knows maybe it affects that.
I tested on a new PC and the mapping should be the same as the default, I didn't change anything. Both WASD and arrow keys should have been mapped as default as far as I can tell. When using arrow keys the scrolling process has normal speed. As for Open MCM Hotkey, I'm still trying to figure out how to use it :( But you can see it on its comment page, User: gjge1234 has reported something similar (I guess).
i got it, for me WASD just moved my character instead of doing what it does for you because i had SkyrimSouls enabled for those menus (which means you can use it as a workaround). if i disable it i have the same issue. for Open MCM Hotkey you just need to create a new .json in its folder with contents: (21 is the keycode of Y, all keycodes are here at the bottom of the page) but it doesn't matter now. i tested it and the same happens if you open the menu via a hotkey, so i'll report it to the author myself and if they fix it i'll fix it in SUR too. but yeah now when i understand what was the issue, i see that it's quite minor
Been using this mod for years, wouldn't consider playing without it. Never had any problems with it up until this current playthrough.
Absorbing a dragon soul wasn't causing the Greybeards to call me to High Hrothgar, even after standing around for a while, getting tired of waiting and going off to kill more dragons. I keep Unbound loaded very late, saw no obvious conflicts in SSEEdit and had nothing overwriting any of Unbound's scripts in Mod Organizer. Couldn't find any other examples of this problem with a quick google search other than console players (who ironically don't have access to the console). MQ105 was stuck on stage 5, so I tried "setstage MQ105 10" and that was enough to kick those geezers into calling me (after about 35 seconds), cause Way of the Voice to appear in my journal and automatically teach me Fus. High Hrothgar is unlocked and I don't aggro the Greybeards by shouting at them, so it seems like this is a solid fix.
Not sure if something changed in the mod recently, but I've done a lot of heavy load order surgery in this playthrough and this isn't the first thing that randomly stopped working correctly, so it's quite likely I broke something that way. Anyway, probably worth trying for anyone else who runs into this problem.
While I'm here, since the sticky asks for suggestions for starting locations, I've always wanted to start a playthrough in a cell in the Abandoned Prison in Eastmarch. I THINK Live Another Life has this, but Unbound has too many features I like to ever consider switching.
Can't reproduce your issue in my game and i must say that it's a really weird issue. How it all works is: when you absorb a dragon soul MQKillDragonScript sets MQ105 to stage 5, then in QF_MQ105_000242BA which processes changing of the stages of MQ105 in the script of stage 5 it sets stage 10, and in stage 10 it gives you Fus and triggers the Greybeards' call. In your case since MQ105 was on stage 5 it means that MQKillDragonScript record and MQKillDragonScript.pex script are not overwritten and did their part correctly. But then QF_MQ105_000242BA scirpt by some reason didn't set stage 10 and it's really weird. I would guess that you have QF_MQ105_000242BA script overwritten, but since setting MQ105 to stage 10 via console gave you Fus and Greybeards then called you after 35 seconds, it means that it's not overwritten, since only the SUR version of the script does that. Then the question is why it didn't set stage 10 and i have no idea. This is like the most straightforward command, it just calls SetStage(10), it doesn't even wait before that, the only thing is that it also completes MQ104 before that, but i don't see how it could cause that either. So it's weird af and i have no clue why wouldn't it do that.
As for your suggestion, LAL indeed does have this, it's like the first option lol. But i'm not sure if it makes a lot of sense with SUR since there's no LAL Mara statue or anything.
Is there a setting I need to change to get the menu to show up while using Menu Maid? It is only bringing up the mod configuration menu instead of the SUR menu. I have a delay set, but that didn't seem to do the trick.
You mean with the Auto Open MCM feature enabled? If increasing the delay doesn't help, then i guess this feature is incompatible with Menu Maid. Can't do anything about it
Hi lilebonymace, before I upgrade, are there any structural changes to the config, preset or addon files? I have a number of extensions (some published), so I want to stay on top of any required changes.
If you're updating from 2.1.9, only presets have been changed. When an old preset is loaded or resaved it gets updated automatically, it happens on any version where presets were changed. If something in addons were changed, i would mention it in the changelog - 100% of the changes in addons are documented in the changelog
Sorry to ask but I've been racking my brain on my unbound has just stopped showing preset options as well apocalypse starting gear staffs/spells etc.ive looked and looked but can't find any reason why it's suddenly doing this.
PapyrusUtil-dependent features don't work even though i have it installed Make sure that nothing overwrites PapyrusUtil. Some mods (including Campfire and Simply Knock) include a copy of an outdated version that doesn't work now - remove or hide SKSE\Plugins\PapyrusUtil.dll from them or just let latest version of PapyrusUtil overwrite everything. Also make sure that the installed version of PapyrusUtil matches your game version.
Just to say that this mod is really good thank mate. And if I write this it is also because I have issue with it. Unfortunatly.
On a ongoing save (few hours), I got a message " New game check failed". And my character has no hair and die from magic. If I reload an other save the game crash. All saves are corrupted with the same effect.
It happend after adding a few mod but only preset face or armor. not a big deal. Also I don't know if changing the order with loot can also create an issue.
Do you have any idea of what can be the problem or what impact this mod ? Just to prevent the game to crash again just when I had few mod. While sometimes it does nothing.
The message displayed means that the mod by some reason re-initialized, which is why it thinks that it's a new game. The displaying of this message in such cases should be fixed since v2.1.8. But the fact that SUR scripts re-initialized can't cause your other issues like CTDs or missing hair or whatever. It's just a symptom that something is wrong with your save or game. Adding or removing mods midgame as well as changing their order midgame is not recommended in general and can cause issues, though not sure about yours. Another guy one comment below had a similar problem. Maybe it's some new mod or mod update that breaks stuff. I can only give the same general recommendations: - make sure you haven't deleted the .skse file with the same name as the .ess save file from your saves folder - make sure you have Engine Fixes with MaxStdio=8192 (and all the config tweaks required for the latest game versions described in its posts if you use one of the latest versions of the game) - if that doesn't help you can also try setting SaveGameMaxSize=true in its settings
