UPDATE: Footstep sounds now all play correctly and the footprints mod should(*) work.
Almost all the important info is in either the description or fomod so read that first. Please report bugs if you find any, but make sure they are from this mod.
Q&A: Q: Why is there no footstep sounds in some places? A: This was a vanilla bug and is now fixed. Download 1.1. Q: Patches? A: Currently there should be no need for patches, just make sure the optional plugin is loaded below better dynamic snow Q: What ENB? A: Silent Horizons + Cathedral Weathers
*I never actually got the footprints mod itself to work so please provide feedback.
I got no snow on these walls any idea what could be causing this? I am using I am using Skyrim 202X and Ancient AF Windhelm. I have tried unistalling all Texture mods but still no snow here.
Hey I have an idea for you! While it's cool walking into a city right after a snowfall...brooms and people employed as sweepers exist. It wouldn't realistically be ALWAYS snowed in. It would be cool if the current look would alternate with one where the major paths and areas had the snow cleaned up. That one could load in some time after there hasn't ben any snowfall. Just a thought I had you might like to play with.
Nice work. However, the blood does not appear on the snow, thus making the quest "Blood on the ice" quite hard for new players. And there is some other black line on snow as well.
Interesting how a bit snow can change the look, just what I was looking for, since there ain't any interesting Solo Overhauls to the City. (JK's solo is outdated and LE only) Thanks and Endorsed. :)
This is by far the best Snow layer for Windhelm, and works well with cuyima's Better Windhelm Ground Meshes, together giving a beautiful look to the city. Needs a small fix when used with Jks Skyrim, there are 2 ground meshes disappearing next to the well in the market, things fall through the world and some wall meshes are longer normally thus causing a minor part of some walls to look like marble rather than snowy. All in all, with some minor fixes, best snow for Windhelm.
so do you use this before or after better windhelm ground meshes? BWGM also has a parallax patch since latest ENB supports that, do we need an update here?
LOVED the look for windhelm. For some reason though it broke my whiterun entirely, sort of like it all loaded with lower LODs and was all snowy. :( Probably another mod conflicting but I couldn't tell you what. Commenting on it just in case anyone else has issues with it, removing it put it back as it was.
Nothing here touches Whiterun in any way. No .esp so no world edits could be made. Sounds like your Mod Manager is screwing up the installation some how or some way. I've been using this mod for over a year and no matter the load order, it has never affected any city other than windhelm.

Very simple, without any plugin and does the job well.
Is it possible to do the same thing for the bridge too? Now, I have great snowy city, but the bridge outside is using default textures (stone).
