Some people may have noticed an update to the so-called "Oldrim" version. Unfortunately, there were delays in converting that to this game thanks to me forgetting my Bethnet password and other, avoidable things. However, the update is finally here!
What's new in v2.0? - 7 new armor enchantments - 13 new spells - 1 new weapon - The ability to buy or find everything.
Also, this update may hopefully fix the issue of items not being disenchantable. (However, I can not confirm this, because I never experianced the issue myself. All I can post is most things were remade, including the jewelry.)
I recently attempted to upload this to Bethnet, but I appear to have a rare glitch. Either the SE CK refuses to acknowledge my accoutns are linked, or Bethnet itself is refusing to link my Steam account. All I can find is a small handfull who have the same issue and no solution.
For now, my permissions remain unchanged. If someone wants to upload this to Bethnet as a PC or Xbox mod, then they may do so. I only ask for a little credit.
Mod Permissions, or "What am I allowed to do with this?" Anyone may use any or all parts of this mod as they see fit. They only need to follow these two simple rules: 1) Don't generate any money from any part of this mod. 2) Give me credit where credit is due.
After one surprisingly successful week I have decided to post these permissions here for those interested. I will try to continue to support it, but I will be really busy.
Really love this idea and concept, and tried it out, but honestly can't tell if it was working or not. I mean I suspect it wasn't, given any bound weapon strike didn't exhibit any on-hit effects (no visible elemental FX when striking with a bound weapon or blade of affinity...and I had several items enchanted to add fire, drain health and a few other enchantments on hit).
That said, I do use many mods that likely conflict (Vokrii, Mysticism, etc). Now I get a bound weapon like Arcane Weapon (from Forgotten Magic Redone) not working with this, and even the typical bound weapons not working given Vokrii and Mysticism likely borking this up....but even the Blade of Affinity (or weapon enchanted with Blade of Affinity) not exhibiting any on hit FX....is it supposed to work that way?
Everything else seemed to work as intended (items were disenchantable, the spells seemed to function as expected)....but no visible on hit FX makes it tricky to tell easily if this is working (and really, kinda defeats the purpose...seeing the FX is half the fun lol).
Just in case anyone else comes across this and is having the same issue... I found moving BWE down on my load order fixed the problem for me. No clue which of the nearly 500 mods I'm running was causing the issue, but that fixed it quickly and cleanly.
Now, if I only had patches for BWE and the sword Daemon from BillyRo Ultimate Swords Anthology and also for BWE and Vibrant Weapons, then I'd be all set...
For anyone using New Summon Creature Spells, they change the same leveled list so whichever loads last has their spells show up in the vendor lists. At least there's two ways to get the spell version of the enchantments for the bound weapons (crafting) versus the new summon spells you can only buy. So recommend you load new summon creatures after bound weapon enchantments unless there's a patch
Thank you for the update to this mod looks to be even more fun than before. I love using only Bound weapons and to be able to enchant them is a particular treat.
Could you please explain how to learn/use the enchantments? I have installed the Ordinator version, but when I select a ring or necklace, even though I have the appropriate gem in my inventory, there is no bound weapon enchantment.
excellent idea and implementation, that said finally what I needed is here. So no problem with the perk tree (soul trap/bind from ORD) and adding these 2 enchants health n fire? Thanks so very much for this.
