Just wondering, did you got permissions to include textures from other modders? I made a fast check and instantly I saw the Designs of the Nords banners; these are not yours, obviously. Other textures are identical with textures from other mods.
Also, these textures you included are not "forgotten" at all, there are in many other textures packs. And its a random combo of textures, clutters, weapons, plants, architecture; a couples from here, few from there, like you picked randomly few folders and you zipped them and published them.
Each of these mods has open permissions to be used as assets in others mods, so I figured I would put them all together for ease of use, especially since some were only available for legendary edition! I know some of these are not forgotten, but hey the name has a good ring to it!
Fyi to anyone running into this issue, this mod includes some landscape textures which creates a shiny effect on the ground when seen from certain viewpoints. Deleting the textures that end in "_n" known as the normal map textures in the data\textures\landscapes folder path will solve this issue. Most troubleshooting threads will point to some texture packs that has had this issue in the past such as Noble Skyrim.
The name got me confused, I thought this was the Forgotten Retex Project mod, which this reminds me of quite a bit. By the by, what's the compression on the textures? Did you convert them all to the same format (ideally BC7) or are they untouched from their original releases (meaning lots of DX1 & 5 from Oldrim ones)?
This looks extremely well done and an excellent package of many "forgotten gems"...but I will be giving it a pass. I would like most of the elements but some I'd rather not have. I am not a modder so I've no idea how difficult it would be, however, if this had a selective FOMOD like a recent release of various Witcher meshes/textures did, I would jump right on.
That's good to know, unfortunately, I do use Vortex (and I'm not sure whether that is for better or for worse, I'm just most familiar with it). Thanks for the info though.
I've always wanted to try out texture mods!! Thank you so much for this! I was wondering how this would impact performance. I don't have a high end laptop xD

Otherwise I have to agree, a rather weird combo, and I prefer to pick them up separately anyway, but others seems to like it, so why not!
But otherwise this is a great mod, thank you :)

Still, an impressive effort.
