Hey I have been using this mod for while (about 2 years) and its great.
Recently though I came across an issue where if the player submits to go to jail it results in a CTD. Upon some investigation it turns out it has a conflict with Open Cities and changes the cell id of the jail which probably causes the crash. Even though I carried the changes from Open cities forward the crash persists.
This is not a request for a patch as it can be easily fixed by essentially doing the reverse of the process above - simply carry the bounty changes of this mod to open cities.
I am not very experienced moder so there might be something very obvious I am missing.
This is a great idea, but I would prefer it was configurable because... I wouldn't even have the guards be concerned about you until your bounty was 100+ modified by the influence of whoever reported you, or whoever you perpetrated your crimes against. Of course it should double if done to or right in front of a guard. They should also consider your influence which should steadily build as you become known/famous/infamous in Skyrim. Just like in the real world.
I know that Skyrim is not and maybe shouldn't be this detailed but consider this... There are no judges or constitution in Skyrim and no talk about justice, besides the Divines judgement or a guard's personal moral standard. You should be able to get away with any and everything in Skyrim as long as you do it to non-influential people and not in front of the guards, are highly influential yourself, disguise yourself, or of course don't get caught.
Really, depending on the level of your growing influence there should be quite a bit more (or less) of some people trying to kill you. Great fame brings political enemies. Olfrick would probably try to kill the Dragonborn as he would consider him/her a threat to his growing influence and power, regardless of joining his cause. Tullius would consider the Dragonborn a threat after a point. The Thalmor above all should go after the Dragonborn early on in attempts to investigate, capture, interrogate, and finally eliminate.
By rights, there should be a story arc where the Dragonborn replaces Olfrick as leader of his cause. If I understand the lore of Elderscrolls correctly, the Dragonborn has a right to the throne of Skyrim and the Empire.
I don't know of any good way to make a version of this mod that is configurable in-game, even in Old Skyrim with access to SKSE and SkyUI's Mod Configuration Menu framework. The amount of bounty you incur for committing various crimes is stored in Skyrim as game settings, not globals. While globals can be changed at will during run time, game settings only seem to be initialized when a game state is loaded, based on my testing. It is possible to change game settings during run time, but you must then load a game state to have those changes take effect.
Hey! I just wanted to ask if you could put together a different version of this mod with a higher bounty for werewolves and murders. I remember there was one mod for Skyrim way back that set murder bounty at 50,000, and that seemed appropriate to me.
Hells to the yeah! Brutal Skyrim here I come! Thanks for uploading this, I was looking for something similar before the special edition dropped. You should consider making something similar but involving how much they pay you for bounties as a base. Like killing a dragon should have a higher payout than killing a bandit chieftain and so forth. Anyways, thanks again so very much and I will endorse once I download, see how it goes =3
You can use a separate mod for increasing bounty quest rewards. Bounty Gold is one I've used in the past. It won't work with SE though because it requires SkyUI.

I hope someone finds this interesting.
