See a lot of people are having problems with black face bug. All I did was load up the mod .esp in creation kit and the marked all the actors that are of vampire race. Then I just hit ctrl F4 and export FaceGen. You must of course do this for every character that is of BretonRaceVampire, NordRaceVampire and so on. Just sort the actors by race, and then mark all of them as they appear when you are scrolling down. Fastest way is by highligthing them all by "blocks" (sorry for my english, have to make up what sounds right as I go :) and then when all for example "NordRaceVampire" are highligthed by you, you just hit ctrl+F4 and you will fix the dreaded and annoying Black Face Bug.

Of course, you also need to have this after every other mod that alters vampires and you cannot have any other mod that alters their headmorphs. As extra info: I use the one without eyes, because I also use "Fangs and Eyes - A Vampire Apperance Mod". I also have the "Seranaholic" mod and "Better Vampires"
In load order out of my 166 mods they are:

    90 Better Vampires
    112 Seranaholic
    114 Fang and Eyes
138 Humanoid Vampires (No eyes version of course since the other mods would conflict)

LOOT or BOSS may put this in wrong order, so you MUST check this by yourselves!

To sum it up in less words: Humanoid Vampires after all other mods in load order that changes Vampires faces in any way. Load up mod in Creation Kit. Manually hit ctrl+F4 on all vampires (Not Serana who is NordRace in creation Kit). Save your edited mod. Look again that the mods are in the right load order. Play the Game. And Enjoy Vampires without blacked out faces.

Hope this help some of you at least!

What you described is what optional bsa file does (dont know if you noticed it under optional files), at least for Skyrim vampires, I need to recheck that fix for Dawnguard vampires, nevertheless thank you for your comments, they will certainly be useful for people and their own load orders

Oh yes, I did notice the BSA you uploaded! I just like to learn myself, and the best way of understanding how mods work is fooling around in Creation Kit your self :)

Any reason btw most vampires have the Orc Vampire face? No biggie, I can change that myself for the actors I want to, I just wonderd?

Thank you for your work btw!

Vampire races in dungeons are determined randomly by the game itself, this mod does not change that or anything that would influence the higher spawning percentage of orc vampires in various dungeons. If you are seeing too many orc vampires or orc looking vampires something in your Skyrim is not as it supposed to be as in likely a mod is affecting spawning scripts or some other glitch. By saying they are having orc faces do you mean literally orc faces or those ugly vampire faces introduced with Dawnguard?

You should make this a sticky post! I was trying to fix this issue for so long now, tried different mods, exported facegendata and whatnot. These days I just rely waaaay too much on LOOT. Putting Humanoid Vampires after BFVE finally fixed it for me

I made it sticky per your suggestion as it may be helpful for people having many vampire related mods :) Though Ctrl+F4 should not be necessary when using bsa.

Hi all ! I'm sharing with you a simple way to fix the Dark Face bug (Atleast it worked for me, so give it a try !)
You just have to install this : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42441
It basically do for you what the actual sticky post is saying ^^
Also, me and my character who is not ugly anymore, thanks the author for this mod ! :D

If i'm not mistaken, the black face issue people are experiencing with this mod is simply because the Head Data in the race records are out of sync with the dawngaurd race records.  eye, brow and face records should align with with those in dawngaurd.  While I won't say with absolute certainty since I havent tested it for myself, that is the likely source.  Having them align in that way will make them more compatible with other mods and patches.

While the face discolouration fix does work, it isn't the best solution to the problem.  Fixing the problem is the solution that requires the least computing resources.

I see under bugs section of that mod that people report problems with mods that alter races and the author says in the reply that any mod that alters race records will conflict, my mod alters vampire races so it cannot work together with that mod. Possibly, though unlikely, that some kind of patch would fix this issue, or removing vampire race edits from that mod, but then you would lose left handed rings for vampires.

This works great for generic vampires, but it doesn't apply to Dawnguard NPCs for me (Like Harkon and Valerica). Is there something I'm missing?

Harkon and Valerica are not really vampire race in Creation Kit so this mod does not affect them, I presume Bethesda did that to keep their faces human, they are NordRace, but have appropriate vampire keywords and abilities, therefore for all practical purposes, they are vampires, but technically their race is not vampire. In vanilla game their faces look human, but with vampire eyes, if their faces look different then you probably have some other mod that affects them. If you are referring to other Dawnguard vampires in castle Volkihar, yes some of them (like Garan for example) seem to largely ignore this mod and still keep their old faces, I have no idea why as they are the same vampire races as other vampires in the game.

I could not get the dark face bug to go away, no matter what I tried. Ended up using Enhanced Vampire Appearance

you could regenerate facegens, theres a conflict going on in your load order that causes the black face bug

I'm getting a weird bug where Babette has an adult head...

I imagine it's because of this mod, cause she is tagged as vampire, and this mod probably edit all vampires right!
Is there a fix for this? She is freaking weird...

Babette is not affected by this mod, she is child race and this mod alters only adult races, children in Skyrim are a separate race in Creation Kit and this mod does not edit them. Do you have other mods that affect vampires and/or children?

Babette has vampire tag, this mod is suppose to affect all vampires, that includes her as well.
Upon further look, I noticed that her original head is still there, but it's covered by the adult one, that's why I believe this mod is altering her head.

I also use RS Children, but that mod hasn't bug any other child, only Babette is messed up.

No this mod does not affect tags, vampire or otherwise, it only swaps head meshes for adult races, such changes do not propagate through tags to all NPCs, Skyrim engine does not work like that. Check your mods that affect bodies, faces, vampires and children and move them up and down the load order to find the culprit, somewhere in your load order there is a conflict among mods that causes the effect you describe, make a new save and disable some mods one by one if necessary to find out what causes this issue.

I am using a vampire race mod.  I am a Royal Blood vampire.  When I first created the character I somehow made a Royal Blood not ugly.  I thought it was because I am using Caliente BBBE mods and Diamond skin.  I had some problems with my game so I did a hard reinstall.  All my configurations are there, but now I have an ugly royal blood face again.  Any Suggestions how to make my character pretty again?  Any idea what happened?

Try moving my mod above or below that mod, I presume that the vampire race you mentioned changes vampire head meshes, my mod swaps vampire head meshes with normal head meshes, and if some other mod interferes with vampire races, the results may be unpredictable as mods may vie for control over the same thing.

Thanks for replying.  You know what I feel so stupid.  This is my first time modding Skyrim so I have been having trouble, but I am finally getting the hang of it.  I forgot that there is a skin complexion toggle on the racemenu mod and boom it went back to where it was.  When I did my hard re install it didn't retain some of my facial settings in the mod menu.  I thought it was something else.  Cheers.

Hey love the mod, used it for years but there is a slight problem, vampire npcs added from mods have black face. Vanilla or DLC vampires are fine.

Is there a way to fix this or since this its another mod adding the vampire, it cant be fixed?

      Yes I am.

I'll try to spawn vampires from another mod and see it if was because of that single mod but yeah i'm using both files

Bsa contains exported facegen of in game vampires, that might explain why vampires from mods are not affected in your Skyrim.

I don't use those mods, but if they fix the ugliness of vampires then there is no point in using my mod.
