About this mod

This is the first mod that I have shared with others. It introduces a spell tome that adds an Underwater Blast Spell as a lesser power. It can be cast by using your lesser power/shout key. This allows it to be done without the use of your hands, which means you can use it underwater. It works out of the water as well, but is not very powerful.

A little more detail about why I made this: 

I was reading a comment on another mod and someone mentioned the annoying slaughterfish that ruin underwater exploration. I don't use any of the huge magic add-on mods, but I figured some of them probably had underwater spells. The reason I never worried about slaughterfish or any other underwater creatures is because one the first mods I ported to SE for myself was Brhuce Legacy by the Dwemer God trainwiz https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/370317. It gives you a custom spell that trainwiz created to allow you to fight in space. It also works underwater. 

So, I looked at his spell and decided to try to make something similar using only vanilla assets. What I ended up with was an ice spike cast as a lesser power. I chose ice spike because fire and shock spells would probably cause a few more complaints about realism. Ice spike also sticks to the target and allows you to see whether you actually hit them or not.

Afterwards, I messaged trainwiz and asked if he would like to release something instead, but he is currently busy making a new game called Underspace which you can check out on Steam if you might be interested. 

So, you are stuck with mine.

The spell tome should be added to destruction spell vendors at the start of a new game, but I've placed a few around the world to be found otherwise. So, you can use this with an existing save, but you'll probably need to pick the book up from one of the spoiler locations below.

            can be purchased from him.


To Install: use a mod manager of your choice or manually put it into your data  folder

To Uninstall: use a mod manager of your choice or remove it manually from your data folder; this is not recommended, but if you remove it, then you should do a "clean save" and/or use Fallrim Tools' Resaver on your save file.

I will provide a normal .esp and an .esl flagged .esp, use only one or the other, not both. Both have been cleaned w/ SSEEdit.
