Your second volume could include some vanilla characters, eg Lydia, Irileth, Jannessa ,Aela, Mirabelle Ervine, Astrid, Brynjolf, Balgruuf, Tolfdir, Kodlak, Vilkas, Farkas, Saphire, Tonillia, Sapphire, Alduin, Parthrunax, Etc. I say Vanilla because some of the replacers are worse than the vanilla NPC and/or are not lore friendly. Plus most players have seen the vanilla at least once.
