This cube is fun. excited to see gravity shifting implementations for these types of projects become standard. could you imagine if you just started running up the wall instead of teleporting haha
i do really like this mod though my only criticism (well i say criticism when its more of nitpick) is the teleport system sure it would be handy tobe able to teleport to the dwraven ruins could be handy however the conditions to unlocking the locations require you to get to the end of the respective dungeons i just feel like the only players that would use the teleport feature would be those that would return to grind for dwemer scrap metal
its still a great mod its just my personal nitpick
So I stumbled on this mod after I deleted all my mods for Skyrim SE and rebuilt my mod list. I've been looking forward to finally getting to Blackreach so that I could pick up what appears to be a gem of a mod. In the mean time, I was using another portable house mod (more of a storage mod) until I could get to this one.
So I get to Blackreach, pick up the cube, and am excited as I go to use it.
Except I'm getting the "You can't use that here" message over and over again.
I came to the forums, looked around, disabled the SoS messages and anything else that might cause pop up msgs and at first it seemed to work, until I changed walls.
Then it started up again.
Even though the message is different than the planter one that I've seen mentioned, I looked through my mod list and I don't think I have anything that will alter my hearthfire planters. Heck, I've not even gotten to any of the hearthfire houses in game yet. I've been working on the mage questline and the main questline. The only vanilla house I own is Breezehome in game and it's not modded at all. If I missed an answer to this problem, I'm sorry, but I would appreciate any help that anyone can give. :)
You have another mod applying restrictions to your character. Moving between walls simply teleports the player from one marker to another within the cell. Perhaps a limitation on fast travel. This mod doesn’t add any restrictions to the player.
Hmm... I have the mod that lets me fast travel from any location, (Unlimited Fast Travel) but I would think that would remove limits, not add them. I'll comb through my mods again and see what I can figure out. What little bit I did see of the mod before the annoying box pop up looked great! I would post my mod list but I actually don't know how. /sheepish
So during one of the few times I could move, I noticed that the mannequins in the armor room were male, and I have the female mannequins mod to turn all mannequins .. well, female. So I disabled it, went back in the cube, and was still getting the error message. So today, as I was smacking a dragon on top of the throat of the world, I realized I never rechecked the mod. So I did a few other things, stored stuff in the other portable home mod I currently use, and went to Riften to turn in a quest. Figured there was as good a time as any. I made two saves. That way if something went wrong, I would have a backup.
I was originally going to disable Unlimited Fast Travel but decided to go in the cube to see what would happen before I did that.
I got "you can't use that here" message over and over.
Exited game. Re-entered game, made two fresh saves (just in case) and entered the cube home. (I did not disable anything while I was out - I simply logged to desktop then went back into the game.) Main room - 1 message Plant room - 10-15 messages (I didn't quite keep track) Enchanting room - 0 message Smithing room - 0 message Armor room - 0 message Bedroom - 0 message
I then went back to the main room and the plant room. No further messages popped up.
So I left the cube, saved (because why jinx a good thing) and go back in. No further messages. I hope it stays that way.
Now, as for the cube. HOLY COW BATMAN! This is amazing! I have the crafting mod to where I can add the spider thing and a few other crafting things and as far as I can tell, those are the only things missing! I use LotD so all of my stuff will be displayed there but for the few items that won't display there (fur armor for example) I can put on the mannequin in the cube. :D
Endorsed (now that I've gotten a chance to explore it!) And I love that I have to find the cubes! I've managed to find 3 so far! :)
Now the task of moving stuff from one portable home to the other. haha
I have a cause and solution for the "You can't use that here" message spamming upon enter the refuge. First, I noticed in addition to the 14 messages spamming me upon arriving in Kagrenac's Refuge, I acquired 14 random pairs of underwear. Second, I realized that I have the SPID enabled mod "Equippable Underwear for NPCs". Because my Skyrim is decent. Third, I cogently surmised that Equippable Underwear and Kagrenac was fighting over who gets the underwear and they decided I deserved it (?).
So I edited Equippable Underwear's SPID ini to exclude Kagrenac's mannequins...
...and voila, no spamming messages upon arrival in Kagrenac's Refuge and I'm no longer a repository for clean but unwanted underwear. Because my Skyrim is decent, everyone has enough underwear already.
Note: I'm also excluding underwear delivery for another mannequin mod in the above and only giving it to female actors.
Its been a long time, but anyways If you're using SOS then you might consider "SOS Hearthfire Script Fix" https://www.loverslab.com/topic/145051-schlongs-of-skyrim-sexlab-addon/page/2/ this one worked for me at least
Or this one "SOS_Hearthfire_Planter_fix" https://www.loverslab.com/topic/95031-schlongs-of-skyrim-se/page/97/
Well, just got the "you can't use that here" spam fest, coming so fast my only option was to load from a prior save. I'm not using any of the mentioned mods, and it was impossible to look around and be impressed, so I'll just keep using staff of shalidor, and check every once in a while for a fixed version.
Hi, ive been using this mod for quite a while, but it seems, that some of the custom containers arent static(its been described once before in the bugs section, as containers keep falling from above and can be moved on my own, though only the custom ones....so it seems they are not listed as static?) I am not good with the creation kid, so i wanted to ask if they are listed as static or not(or where i would need to look to find out)
More info on this bug/mod interaction: The "fallen" versions appear to be default versions - the Shield container only had the Dwarven shield that came with the mod, not the half dozen shields I had stored on the Forge face of the cube.
Workaround: I was able to move the extra objects and fix them in place using Jaxonz Positioner Converted, but had to do it several times per container. To completely "fix" it, you have to use Jaxonz once per other face - potentially 5 times (in some cases they will fall but still be trapped within the shelving, depends on how OCD you are). This workaround is only for the save series you do this on - if you start a new character or go back to an old save you would have to redo the positioning. The containers I have noticed that need "fixing" are Forge area: Shield, Weapon, Armor and the Storage box on the floor below them; Magic area: Staff Enchanting box.
My absolute favorite portable home mod, goes so well with my Deep Elf playthrough. My only request (I know how finicky Skyrim lighting can be) or desire for a change would be brighter lighting. I do actually need glasses, but also I feel like a more uniform bright light would fit the Dwarven home workshop aesthetic more (for me!). There's some really pretty colors but I'm probably going to try and mess about with CK and brighten it up a good bit for myself. Also, a few Hearthfire planters would be amazing.
If mod author sees this: these aren't complaints or requests or anything other than a dude who totally loves this mod and can't help but think about making it a little more perfect for himself, thanks so much for creating and sharing this! I've used it for quite some time but just had to pause my current playthrough and come on and say something because it's just going so good with my current playthrough - thanks again
There are many player home mod, but this is the only one complete with all the elements like the oven. And portable! I think this is the best player home mod. it's working AE 1.6.353 (i'm not use mannequins mod). Thank you so much for this mod.
This is an amazing mod, seriously. Just found this gem on a YouTube video.
Probably a shot in the dark here, but any chance of a future port to bethesda.net for Xbox users like myself? Got a few characters this would be perfect for.
