I'm using this with audio overhaul of skyrim and it's working for me. MY game actually sounds a ton better, I have this, sounds of skyrim, immersive sounds, reverb and ambience, and like 13 other audio mods affecting varies things and it all works soooo well. Please, please, if you read this then give this mod a chance people. The difference is very noticeable and extremely positive.
All of this makes it sound like you found a configuration for something that has been giving me (and probably other people) minor head scratches for a long time. Could you post the audio mod list/load order? Thanks!
Hey, I‘m using it too with AOS and ISC and had no problems whatsoever like CTD or sound issues. On the contrary, it does sound really really well. The sound volume is Increased quite a bit with this mod, but can be configured easily. Nothing bad to report since a couple of hundred game hours.... thanks a lot to kosumosu and grvulture
My Audio mods include this, hircine restoration project, Immersive music, audio overhaul, UHDAP, Bow before the dead, falmer sounds, improved horse step sounds, immersive dragon sounds, immersive sounds, reverb and ambiance overhaul, sounds of skyrim complete(only a few specific things out of it though), better sounding female dragon shouts, dragons enigma all in one, meridian revoiced, peryite voice replacer, and thundering shouts. Tbh it just works somehow. Haven't had any ctd problems, dunno if it has to with what I let override what, my bashed patch, or just pure luck. I got patches where they're available and just followed compatibility guides(mostly or when I could). Didn't know people where having problems until I read this, just figured the warning on audio overhauls page was a pre-emptive warning just in case people had problems :p
Even this mod doesnt work with Audio Overhaul? I was gonna make the switch from True 3D Sound For Headphones just to use Audio Overhaul but I guess it wont make a difference.
Yes. It needs to be installed (copy-paste) into the Skyrim directory. Vortex apparently can handle that too, but I'm using MO2 so I don't know Vortex and can't help you.
the sound with my headset is much better of what I got from my 4 (quadriphonic) speakers. It's not only about the direction you ear the sounds, the main change for me is that I ear MORE sounds and more clearly. Is there any other mod to have the same effect for speakers? I am using already the setting suggested by https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/93722 but it is not making the same difference as this mod for headsets. Maybe I should just use this and put 2 of my speakers on my sides and go for stereo sound.
Does anyone know how to resolve this bug? The sound cuts out, I save, load, and then everything goes silent. Just closing the game and restarting the sound will work again. The place where this happens most is in Dwemer ruins
I would love to see a Starfield version of this mod. I just tested this mod in my Starfield installation as a wild experiment, and it doesn't seem to have any effect on Starfield, unfortunately.
I'm crashing to desktop the moment I try to start a new game. Crash logger says its an issue with x3daudio1_7.dll, so I updated directx as well as vicual c++ redist. Problem still persists. Any help? I'm on win11 if that helps.
You may have figured this out out already, but in case you haven't this mod DOES have some sort of conflict when using it along with Alternate Start and Audio Overhaul that causes exactly that. As others have mentioned, the solution is to uninstall this mod, create your character, and reinstall it only once you've saved your progress.
So, I'm using this with Audio Overhaul and it's working wonders for me! I was having an issue with the game's base volume being incredibly low, while moded sounds (like the ones by Satafinix) were blasting my ears off, but with this installed everything is finally sounding the way it should! There are some exceptions here and there (like dragon breath sounding like a light breeze rather than a roar) but at this point this is the best my game has sounded since I installed it again. Thank you so much for you hard work!
Was getting CTD with this mod when starting new game.
After some testing found that combination of - Audio Overhaul - Alternate Start - Live Another Life - Binaural 3D Surround Sound for Headphones - HRTF was causing CTD for me.
As people suggested, the easiest fix is to disable 3D Audio until you make your first save game. Otherwise, game sounds great when using this mod.
