11/18/21 update: Version 1.2 requires the Fishing Creation Club add-on enabled, and includes the following: -A brand new basement featuring numerous weapon and armor displays 4 weapon plaques (8 weapons and 4 shields), 4 weapon display cases, 2 mannequins -A large aquarium and a small aquarium (fish in the screenshots not included) -A total of 12 garden plots outside, plus 2 more inside the basement
11/20/21 Version 1.2 - Alternate Basement optional file: Same as the above, although there are two small aquariums instead. Choose either this or the main file! Do not install this over the other/main version of 1.2, and vice versa. This is an alternate version of 1.2 with a basement more closer to the style of the LE version 1.2. See the images. Also requires the Creation Club Fishing add-on enabled. If bethesda.net users (for any platform) have interest in this particular version let me know in the comments below.
There is also a tutorial for how to set up your own aquarium for use in house mods and the like in both the optional files (which includes images), and the description tab. Bethesda.net releases should be uploaded shortly afterwards. LE users will need to wait another day or two for work to be finished (most of the work for this update has been done in the LE kit and finished in the SE kit. It will make use of The FPI Aquarium Kit modder's resource to give it an aquarium in the basement as an alternative there). Edit 11/19/21: LE version updated now. All bethesda.net uploads were added last night (images still need fixing though).
This is my favorite house. I love the simple, small houses and this is the first one that is just perfect for me. It has everything I would put if I made my own house and it's nicely decorated as well!
Good idea to stick to vanilla meshes. I used lots of modder resources in my personal and public mods and many of them are busted in SSE. I'm going back and replacing them with vanilla resources it's just not worth the problems. Since I removed them from my normal Skyrim I've also noticed that a couple of them even cause fps drops there. Some of the free resource meshes are not well made.
I had used lots of resources for my original Skyrim homes, but since I wanted to be able to share with my dad, a PS4 user, I had to stick with the vanilla stuff. Thankfully there's still lots of neat things one can do with just vanilla assets for a player home, as I've done for this one. I may remake my other homes to be able to share them with the PS4 users. I do enjoy using modder's resources in my homes though, else I would not have made so many homes with them.
Would you mind posting the location of this cottage and how it can be acquired ? Playing Skyrim for the first time and this looks like a good home for my character. Thankyou
