Description
Like in many MMO (ex.: Elder Scrolls Online): when you die, instead of reloading a save game, you just respawn at dungeon entrance, at the nearest city or at nearest standing stone.

This mod has been made for Skyrim VR. but it also work for SSE.

How does it work?

The player is made essential, so instead of dying, he will "bleed out". At the end of the bleed out phase, I teleport the player to the nearest standing stone.
I choose "standing stones" because it's what looks the most like a teleport wayshrine in the game, but I could send the player to his/her home, or to a city.

When in a house or a dungeon, it place a custom marker at the player spawn point and you'll respawn there when dying. Sometime you'll respawn inside, sometime you'll respawn outside, just in front of the entrance (depends how the cell has been defined by the creator).

Teleport options

You can choose to respawn to the nearest Standing Stone, nearest city, or you can setup your own custom locations,

You can also choose to simply respawn on place (no teleport).
When respawning on place, you can receive an 15s invisibility buff to help you flee from last fight.

All options can be configured in the MCM menu.

Custom teleport options
You can define your own Teleport options: homes, fields, prisons... Anything you want!
You just have to use your favorite editor (Creation Kit or SSEEdit) and find 3 specific values:
  • The ObjectReference adress where you want th respawn
  • The mod name containing this location
  • The map marker representing this address (you need one).

Then you add these infos in the YeOlde - Respawn.json file, in the "customs" section.

Death Penality
You can choose to have a death penality:
  • a gold penality
  • an XP debuff for 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

Again, all can be configured in the MCM menu.

Death Count (new)

Your death count is recorded and available in the MCM menu.

Compatibility

This mod isn't compatible with all mods modifying the way the player dies (or avoid death).
It should be compatible with everything else.

If you need a patch for a specific mod, send me infos on which one, and the expected behaviour.
