I know this is probably my fault but for some reason when I play a Dark Elf their passives are stuck on the sky ui icon thing permanently. (Like when the game first loads in there's a duration to their cloak and magic for some reason that duration runs out, the normal passives load in and then it's just perma stuck on my screen.) Is there anything I can tweak in xedit to fix that?
Hello, so in the description says that Wood Elf deals 25% extra sneak damage, yet when i checked in xEdit it seems that they also get an extra 25% spell damage. So is the description on this mod page correct, or do they actually deal extra spell damage alongside sneak attack damage? Thank you.
Yeah, albeit a bit confusing given that vanilla skyrim if i remember correctly, spells cant sneak attack, only weapons can. But i guess its a good thing, since Wood Elf can now be played both as mage and thief or some other hybrid without being locked behind a specific class.
When the tooltip said "25% extra damage with sneak attacks or spells," people would ask me why I gave Wood Elves a flat +25% bonus to spell damage, so I removed the reference to spells. In the future I'd like to integrate Po3's Magic Sneak Attack mod, and it should make a bit more sense when "everything" can give you that Sneak Attack notification.
I kinda had the same idea because using spell sneak attack damage from this mod and perk from vokrii, it wouldnt make sense for spell not to sneak attack. But then i got confused on how to implement it properly into my game, given Magic Sneak Attack applies for non-damaging spell also, and i think the Wood Elf perk only increase sneak attack damage for vanilla damage type, so modded spells that doesnt deal vanilla damage type might not work.
Yeah a slightly annoying thing about the Magic Sneak Attack Mod is that most perk overhauls have their own half-way implementation of magic sneak attacks which then kind of sit oddly when used w/ the mod. In the future I'd like to make an addon that uses the Magic Sneak Attack mod to completely replace Simonrim sneak attack mechanics. I was waiting on po3 to add some features (scrolls/staves) for me but now I am just waiting until I actually have time, might be a bit.
This is a great mod. However, Imperials receiving better prices in Skyrim by default, based on race, doesn't make any sense, Skyrim's nords having a war with the Empire.
Can someone explain this to me. I installed the lower starting skills but find it increase starting skill. For example Aetherius.esp has one handed as 5 and Aetheriuslowerstartingskills.esp shows one handed as 10. All the skills go up 5 points when using the lowerstartingskill.esp.
With default Aetherius, you get starting skills at 10, Minor Skills at 15, and your Major Skill at 20.
With the Aetherius - Lower Starting Skills Addon, you get starting skills at 5, Minor Skills at 15, and your Major Skill at 20.
This means increasing the bonus of Minor and Major skills by 5, and then reducing the game setting that controls the "base" number for starting skills by 5.
It sounds like the game setting is getting overwritten in your load order. You should be able to check that pretty easily in xEdit.
I'm not sure why, but AetheriusSpells hates "Paramount - FPS Galore - Alternatives" but its something inside the mod, not an .esp conflict. The eyes disappears and giant black square fly everywhere. And I tried the mod without the AetheriusSpells and it worked fine.

A race overhaul mod that affects custom races.
With the Aetherius - Lower Starting Skills Addon, you get starting skills at 5, Minor Skills at 15, and your Major Skill at 20.
