I can't get this mod to work. Every time I've gone down so far, all that happens is my character gets stuck in place.

I've been noticing bugs like this occurring fairly frequently, unfortunately.  I'd look elsewhere, but this is really the only mod that does this kind of thing in a way that doesn't impose all manner of weird narrative bulls*** like, "You've been cursed and must back up your soul on a flash drive at an inn," or, "you reincarnate as a totally different character, making a coherent playthrough impossible," or something.

      It's SO frustrating, though.

I've discovered that player.resurrect can restore controls.  Still working on restoring animations.  TCAI to disable combat AI can be very useful to keep stuff off your back while you troubleshoot.

      OK.
      player.resurrect
This should restore functionality, but your animations will be broken, so, drop or store your armor / clothes and weapons somewhere off of your player actor.
*!Save!* As the next step Might get you stuck on a black screen, possibly forcing you to sign out of your machine to close Skyrim!  If you get stuck, close Skyrim, relaunch and try again.  I was 1 out of 3 for it forcing a restart.
      player.recycleactor
If it works, your character will be reset with full animations, however, some of your items may / will be lost, hence depositing them somewhere off of your actor, earlier.  Recollect your gear from wherever you stored it and discard any "default" gear it gave you.
However!  Your 1st-person camera may still be wonky,!  A save / load cycle should restore it.
      And there you have it!
Then just disable any TGM and / or TCAI you did to enable debugging, and you're back on track.

So first off, I love this mod, It's great. I especially like the idea behind the preparation setting, really gets my Witcher blood flowing.

Now I may have encountered a small problem. Due to the fact that quest items can be stolen, my golden dragon claw was stolen and placed in the end of dungeon chest of bleak falls barrow, beyond the door it happens to unlock. Rendering progress impossible without TCL. Dunno if theres a way to sort this but i figured I'd mention it anyways, just so you know.

You may be able to find it in another Draugr crypt.

A quest safe item feature would be great. It would take quite some time to search every draugr dungeon in the game, not considering dungeon mods.

Once it gets moved, the mission tracker should put a quest marker over where it wound-up.

I really like the sound of this mind! Might just use this instead of wildcat.

Now just to clarify for me, the way it sounds like none of our loot will be deleted at any point, but rather after some time if we don't retrieve it, we mind have to find it elsewhere? Also do you have plans to add additional stuff to the defeat system, like do you think you might add in getting taken hostage or something so we can breakout of prison?

Why use it instead of Wildcat? They do completely different things.
EDIT: if there are some features that overlap, you can just disable those in one or the other mod, so that they don't conflict.

As cool as this mod is, I think it needs some major fixes.
One time I got taken into an inn, the entire place was pitch black, with or without an ENB on. Another time my character was defeated, her eyes remained permanently closed, even after waking up

Hi, IronDusk33! Is your mod supports new dungeons, new lands and realms? Because I would not want to return to Skyrim each time I die in Bruma, Falskaar or Wyrmstooth and others... To be honest, you not the first I writing this, but please don't consider this as a spam, it's very important to get response from all mod authors who made death alternative mods, because after all these years there are still no alternative death mod, which supports new lands, and this layer needs to be pioneered sooner or later. I hope you agree with me.

I died in Beyond Reach mod, and it transported me to a Beyond Reach Inn... So I think it works :D

As long as you sleep in the new area, at least. I don't know if it would work if you died without sleeping in a new area.

I'm deciding between this mod and Death Alternative Your Money or your Life, but I hadn't considered other quest mods! Can you tell me if DAYMOYL puts you back in Skyrim if you die in a different land? I like the narrative focus of DA, so that would be unfortunate :p

Whenever I am Defeated my Character stays in infinite bleedout mode. How do I fix this?

This occasionally happens to me too, maybe 5% of my deaths. I just accept that its a CTD, boot up task manager and force-close the game.

Here's a fix:   When it happens, open console, click your character, and type player.resethealth

Any chance we'll be able to modify the rally/defeat chances in the future? I'd love a permanent 50/50 chance, give high level characters a little risk on their end game items.

This is a hidden gem. Didn't think I could find something THIS good under the radar.

The speed reduction is too intrusive, I guess I'll change the value myself in xEdit. Would be awesome if there is an option to change the debuff value through MCM though.

However, I think this one is one of the best defeat systems that does feel immersive and does not feel like being in the game. Endorsed.

how do you remove the movement speed debuff? It is pointless and just turns the whole thing into a walking simulator. Appreciate a guide on that subject.

I notice that when I lose a brawl, I suffer Combat Consequences.  I think this should be made an exception.

Basically, if there are pre-existing conditions for Essential-ness (such as the Arkay-worship in Wintersun and Brawls) the character perhaps should not suffer Combat Consequences.
