I did some very brief testing and everything seems to work just fine. I've heard that Bethesda did some changes to the mesh format or something, but it doesn't seem to affect anything here. If anyone experiences any issues let me know.
EDIT: I ran the meshes in the last upload through the NIF optimization tool. That was last June.
Why'd he do the Revered Dragon like that? The horizontal goat-/frog-like eyes were fine, and gave the dragon charm fitting of its cobralike appearance. Is there a way to get the HD textures but still keep the RD's horizontal eyes?
Edit: Same with the Blood Dragon. I loved the horizontal eyes. If the creator hated exotic eyes so much, they should have painted over the Legendary Dragon's compound eyes too, then.
Are you really complaining that someone who created a mod and then gave it out for FREE didn't do it to your specific specifications?! IF you hate the eyes so much then don't use their mod or learn how to mod yourself and fix it to your liking, but don't be ungrateful whiner. Trust me, they didn't make the mod just.for.you.
You seriously complaining about the fucking eyes? The eyes that you won't even really notice mid battle or after because you will absorb its soul. Besides Dragons are fucking reptiles and reptiles have vertical strip eyes. God people like you are embarrassing.
The comment section is meant for both criticism and praise (among other things) - and just because it's "Free" doesn't mean someone can't voice their indifference about a modders choice. Is the modder your buddy or something?
If someone has problems in the main quest of the Dragonborn dlc, the part of riding a dragon, you can try to disable this mod, which may solve the problem.
Unfortunately I agree with this and came to see if someone noticed the same thing. The textures unfortunately don't seem to be HD at all. At least not by today's standards. When I kill a dragon in melee and it ragdolls down on the floor, the textures look horribly fake/plastic, cardboard even. I'll be looking for a replacement.
I just want to point out for anyone else that may encounter this "issue" that the mod author states in the description of the mod that these dragons are the same resolution as the vanilla ones. This mod doesn't seem to be intended to be a HD dragon mod, it is meant to be an alternate look to the vanilla ones.
“ Q: What resolution are these? Is there a performance hit? A: Texture sizes are identical to the base Skyrim: Special Edition textures (2048 x 2048). There will be no performance drop as long as you do not exceed your video-cards VRAM buffer. Anyone with a 1GB video card should be able to use these perfectly fine.”
"Remastered high-definition textures for the ten dragon types of vanilla Skyrim, Dragonborn, and Dawnguard."
"high-definition" is by definition(!) HD... HD is defined as: 1280x720 and up resolution... So... By definition it IS HD... Until they change/create and actual definition more in line with the times.... And if they do it will still be a correct description for when it was made (but not if updated).
I CAN however understand how that description can be seen as very misleading...
If you want higher definition textures look for 2K or 4K in the descriptions...
For some reason this mod causes an immediate CTD upon starting a new game, no loading screen even, I'm not sure why since its not the only mod causing this, I identified at least two others so far also independently causing the same issue, basically by turning them off and on one at a time, i can say its these ones for sure but I have no idea why this is the case, i disabled all mods except the few that edit the opening sequence in Helgen and have been slowly re-adding them as i go. One of the other culprits was called World Eater and solely affects Alduin.
It's curious that no one notice that : the dragonsnow mesh shouldn't be under dragon/characterasset but directly under the dragon folder (meshes/actor/dragon/dragonsnow.nif)
I had a personal note somewhere saying this mod was not compatible with SKSE64, but I can't find that information on the mod page anywhere. Is this mod now compatible with SKSE64?

Edit : (Regal Dragons SSE looks nice on paper)
