Hey everyone, version 2.0 is here! I finally found some time to work on this update. Basically everything is reworked in this version, with high quality cleaned textures, hours of adjusting colors to match the original look of the mod, new bark options, new shrubs and of course one of the most impactful improvements, new saplings featuring models from the amazing Aspens Ablaze mod wich Mindflux kindly gave permission to use. Everything saved in BC7 format, with 4K and 2K options provided along with the new FOMOD installer where you can choose and combine different options to your taste. Like before, 2 different seasons are available, spring and autumn, with equal weight given to both of them with variations in the leaves and barks for each tree
The new version comes with new optimised 3D Dyndolod models and textures for use with Dyndolod 3. Billboards are no longer needed as Dyndolod 3 now creates billboards automatically, and besides that, this mod provides 3D assets for the trees so no billboards are required.
any plans to also replace the winter aspen from dawnguard DLC? maybe using Base Object Swapper would be nice. i don;t know how to do that, though. but i would expect to see the winter aspen using this new tree meshes and the new bark.
I have already made winter versions of my aspens, and used in my mod Seasonal Aspen Trees. It would not be hard at all to make an addon to this mod that replaces the DLC winter aspens, when I find the time. In the meantime anyone could extract the models and replace winter aspens in their own game files.
Hello. I'm guessing their .esp plugin changes the paths to their own trees and that's why it doesn't work. I can't download a huge mod like that to test right now, but if you open ulvenwald's esp in SSEEdit and remove all edits to the aspen trees under "tree" it should work. My mod is using the vanilla tree file paths and doesn't place extra trees so it doesn't need a plugin. Any tree mod with a plugin that changes the vanilla tree paths will win no matter the load order. Don't be afraid to delete aspen entries from their plugin, worst case scenario you can re-download the mod if it breaks
haven't come accross a mod that changes pines and other vanilla types into different types of trees, except maybe some tropical overhauls. you can try dense nordic forests wich puts aspens (and other trees) to all areas instead of just the rift, and blens them with the pine forests.
Wow this looks amazing! Do you think this will work fine with Forests of Skyrim mod? that mod doesn't change the tree models, it just added like 1500 more trees around the map. I'm really interested in your mod because I think it won't affect my FPS as much as the other ones. Anyways, you rock!
Yeah no problems. My mod has no plugin, just models and textures so it will work with any mod that adds more trees around the map. I use it with a mod that adds trees to whiterun and I have my green aspens in whiterun :). The performance is prety good too.
Well you are free to replace any texture with any other if you find it low quality. My mod is optimised to run even on weaker setups (such as mine) so the textures might look a little low on detail if you look too close. Also the vanilla style barks are lower quality than the oak style.
One of the best aspen trees so far. I'm currently using Aspen Ablaze but your mod looks so well optimized for every system. Hope you improve it more in the future.
best riften area with high fps i get maybe 1-2 drops but it shoots back up to 60 (im not using enb lol ...yet) but Use this , blubbo olive tree set it under this so this mod doesn't completely overwrite it then i use folkvangr AND happy little trees lol

I'm using Traverse the Ulvenwald - 3.1 - Trees and Forests of Skyrim and even if i loaded this great mod after Ulvenwald the trees won't show up...
Any patch possible?
I don't have a clue to be honest.
And great mod
i hope i'll sort it out, i'm a ssedit noob though ;p

I always try to make things performance friendly because my gpu is prety old and can't handle much pressure lol
