About this mod
Wampas are giant carnivorous predatory reptomammals indigenous to the remote ice continent of Atmora, with up to 10 feet tall and over 400 pounds, covered in shaggy white fur constantly stained with the gore of slaughtered prey. They began to migrate to the north of Skyrim during the first period when the sea level dropped between both continents.

They began to migrate to the north of Skyrim during the first period when the sea level dropped between Atmora and Tamriel, creating ice bridges crossing the Sea of Ghosts, that temporarily connected the two continents. They arrived with the first atmorans, and alongside many other creatures of the bizarre fauna of that gelid continent, and had an immediate impact on the local fauna, for example, almost driving the Grahl to extinction.
A single powerful blow from a wampa's forearm is enough to neutralize the largest prey, and very rarely are wampas themselves the victims of predators—in fact, the creatures have no natural enemies except for other wampas, hunters, eventual huge eagles, and giants, since they occasionally hunt in packs their mammoths. The creatures stalk their prey until reaching close enough proximity to make a rush attack. A wampa would take a final sighting of its target by rising on its hind legs and then springing forward in a deadly pounce with claws outstretched. After that, the wampa will drag its prey back to its ice cave, hang it upside down on the ice ceiling, and devour the prey whenever it needed.
Commonly you will find wampas living alone or in pairs, and rarely in small groups, inside ice caves or hunting in the snow plains, allways in remote regions. Wampas are a valious hunter trophy, and you will find mounted heads of wampas inside houses, in the holds where they occur, with these mounted trophies being considered signs of bravery. Wampas have little to no visible culture, but they have already been seen devising complex group hunting strategies to catch prey in ice mazes, or hiding around dwarven ruins to ambush looters and researchers who attempt to establish camps there.
Primitive, they were created on the dawn of Nirn, when the animal classes were not yet completely differentiated and established. Considered reptomammals, this classification includes any species having both reptilian and mammalian traits, such as having scaly skin but having fur above it for warmth. Giving birth to live young is another common trait, and when they reproduce through eggs like reptiles, they produce milk from milk-bearing teats, unlike the members of the reptilian class. They are almost exclusively warm-blooded, an attribute that differentiate them from viviparous reptiles that also give birth to live young. In the case of wampas, their fur-covered body is covered by thick, resistant scaly skin like the skin of a reptile.
