Hi again, I've got the mod open but not sure exactly what you are asking? Do you mean the shield just has flames and casts light but no extra life or fire resistance?
i used ssedit removed magic effect asset of hit shader and enchant shader, change hit effect art to DLC1AurielShrineCastFX, now its just only light when equipped, big thanks for your mod.
You are "on fire"! I am going through your profile and downloading many of your mods. You have a lot of creativity, and I'm glad I stumbled open your work today!
Hi SirMcRae, Thank you very much for your kind comment. When people take the trouble to comment like this, it makes modding a very rewarding pastime. SM
Anyway to make this effect active without the shield? I understand very little about modding, so I wouldn't know how to do that myself, but being able to use that as a Werewolf would be pretty dope.
Also, is changing the color possible? Having a dark blue or black flame would be also quite cool, tho that wouldn't be very conducent to the idea of a "illuminating flame", regardless, I'd love to have that on my characters, as I always like to play as a collector of curses.
Hi, You can learn the enchantment from the shield, although I haven't actually tried to enchant anything else with it. I can certainly do a version with a blue illumination for you, as you say it will look a bit odd. Give me a day or two to sort something that hopefully meets your needs! SM
I was about to ask if you could make it available as an enchantment, as I'm planing to play a Redguard and wanted to have a shield with such an enchantment, but in a more hammerfell look. But learning the enchantment from the shield is a good idea. Especially that you provided one for free. I will, try it as soon as I can.
Please don't consider the following as a request or a demand, as I don't want to make any claim over your time.
Have you ever seen the effects on this mod? It's called "The Art of Shadow" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18159
It has two spells, staff and scrolls that serve to obscure the player. They are basically inverse version of Candlelight and Magelight. Having equipment with these effects would be quite cool.
Just to reiterate, this is at most a suggestion, please don't make it if you don't want to.

Both the Shield and Necklace can be Disenchanted and the Enchantment put on Any Shield or Jewellery of your choice!
NOTE:
File is back to an .esp for the time being in case I have to change anything as it is easier!

I've uploaded an optional version which includes a Necklace of Light.
I hope this helps?

As that mod is not mine, I would suggest maybe contacting the mod author to see if it is something he would consider doing?
