Hey guys, for those who are struggling finding the trap door key after installing opulent thieves guild, or any mod that adds object near where you usually find the trap door key, I found a solution. Go to bottom shelf behind the counter at the bar of the Ragged Flaggon where you typically find the key, and if you have a mod installed that has the key clipped with another object near where the key is usually situated, go into console commands and enter "tlc" to turn off collisions and go into the bottom shelf of the counter to get the key. Once you're done clipping through to get the key, go to the surface and enter into console commands "tlc" while not being clipped inside anything to disable clipping and enable collisions again.

Hope I was able to help.

I would love to use this, but the key is not available in the barkeep area. I tried to add via a console command (from mod's page for oldrim) but that doesn't work either. Can you advise on the correct console command to put the key in the player's inventory. Many thanks in advance.

Odd, the screenshot i took from the key on bardesk was taken in Creation Kit just before i saved it.

I actually crash when approaching Riften now even when the mod is disabled... and apparently even crash with old save when zoning to Whiterun stables. So yeah my mod setup isn't working really well. Could take a while to test.

Command "additem 08001625 1" after you clicked player character will give the key.
I found the ID with command "help trapdoor".

edit: The key was definitely there even ingame.

Thanks Zaflis! The help trapdoor command did the trick, although it gave the ID 3001625 (similar to the old code) and not 08001625... which is weird. Using the 3001625 code successfully gave me the key, which worked to open the trapdoor, so I'm all set Regarding why the key was missing from the bar area, I took a look at my mod list and believe it's the Opulent Thieves Guide mod that overwrote the key location (but not the actual trapdoor). My bad; no fault of yours -- SSE came out and I just open the firehose for mods and didn't really remember what I'd done! In retrospect it should have been obvious that the Opulent mod would have moved/hidden the key. Many thanks for a super convenient mod and help with finding the key!

Neither Item codes are working for me. I've used the help trapdoor command to get the item code (which was 5F000162) but it won't add it to my inventory anytime I try additem.

If you tried 5F000162 it should be wrong. The last 6 numbers should be same for everyone, so being:
      xx001625
The xx is the 2 number Mod Index in your load order (plugins, whichever it's called) for ThievesGuildTrapDoor.esp.

If you want easier way to give yourself items from this and other mods, there is for example a mod "Add Item Menu". It will give you a spell which lets you browse all armors and other items that are added to game with a UI. But it will add a little bloat to the game and maybe not entirely without issues? Try if you like.

The bloody key clipping down into the bar table, but i got it

I think it would make far more sense to hide the trap door inside the garden of Honeyside

Who would have thought a "secret" entrance was not secret at all?
    But nvm, thank you

Oh, man, thank you so much for porting it over! Did about five trips through the ratway before I threw up my hands and went to check to see if it was available for SSE yet. Lifesaver!

Worked perfectly, btw. Key was right there on the lower left behind the bar.

Does this work with Open Cities? If not, how do I patch it?

Not compatible (no crash, it just doesn't show up). Any mod that adds things in vanilla closed city will not work.

We would have to make an alternative version of the mod where the trapdoor is copied to the new zone. Shouldn't be too difficult though, i have the mod installed to try.

Oh, just a sidenote. If you decide to install Open Cities you might not be able to remove it later on without starting a new game. I don't normally play with it.

Update: It works now Uploaded alternative version. You can't use both versions though at the same time, if you somehow manage to go to normal closed city version of Riften you will see trapdoor too, but it's not linked to anything. It's impossible to make a 3-way door link. Made sure the key exists aswell again.
