The 2022 update has changed the entire mod. Any comments/questions made before this year will no longer be relevant. No need to go looking for a knapsack or travel to the guardian stones. You can now access the menu and turn it on/off from anywhere at any time!

*What is a Magic Flute?
A misc item that, when placed in an NPC’s inventory, a container, or when dropped onto the ground, will have a quest arrow and be trackable just like the other categories.
*What is Dead Check?
If an NPC listed in the categories has died, their names will no longer appear in their usual list, instead they will be found under the “Dead” category. (This does not apply to the magic flutes)
Instructions:
Load Order: Put this mod above/before any other NPC changing mods.
You will find the spell under “Powers”, from there make your selections.
Optional PC Commands:
Use the command “movetoqt” to quickly travel to the person you’re looking for once they have a quest marker on them. The Quest IDs are provided on Nexus AND in-game to make this as easy as possible. This will only work if the person you’re looking for is the only NPC with a marker on in their category. (ie, female spouses or magicka trainers, etc)
Use the command “addspell” to learn the spells that control individual categories to quickly access the menu you’re looking for in place of the main menu. The Spell IDs are provided on Nexus. (ie, followers menu spell, etc)
Notes:
- If you have multiple quest arrows on from one category, they will all toggle together in your menu because they are tied to the same quest.
- Some names will not appear for tracking unless you meet their quest conditions, or if they are dead.
- If an NPC you are tracking dies, the arrow will remain active until you turn it off. After that their names will appear under Dead Check.
- When using Dead Check, if no arrow appears when you select a name it means the body has been moved to the ‘dead body cleanup cell’ and is no longer available.
- To unlock NPC’s who live on Solstheim, the player must visit the island via the Northern Maiden at least once.
- Random Encounter NPCs like Maiiq and summonable creatures like Arvak are not listed in this mod. This is because they are disabled most of the time and it would be rare for the tracker to work.
- Flute Finder will be SSE only.
