"Facegen had to be generated for this, so if you use mod that changes the appearance of these NPC's it will conflict. I'd load those mods after this one and if you want to remove the dirt, regenerate the facegen (this is done in creation kit) of those specific NPC's."
Is there any mod this isn't compatible with? I am assuming this needs to overwrite everything it tocuhes, like bijin, pandorable, fair skin. This even has a conflict with cleaned skyrim se textures for some reason.

You could check out my Remove Wrinkles mod and use the empty textures for other facial features: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25462
Look into the same folders (textures/actors/character/female for females) and check which .dds files are there. femaleheaddetail_frekles.dds is one of them for example.
I created a new folder cause I searched for femaleheaddetail_frekles.dds but could not find it. I did find your mod folder femaleheaddetail_rough.dds and 2 others and add the new one into mod the folder.
"Cathedral Player and NPC Overhaul - HMB II" with other clean skin texture mod made NPC face dirt so bold but your mod solve the problem. It really well blend now.
I have skyrim original no dlc. I got this to work by deleting 'textures\actors\character\facegendata\' before deploying the mod. Excellent mod, I really wanted this! Thanks XanderVirtus!
So I have the dirt replacer for females where it turns the dirt layers into beauty marks instead. I was originally looking for a mod that does the same for males. I found your mod and have a few questions: Is there a way to just affect the male dirt textures? Why are the bandits, prisoners etc. excluded? Do they use a different texture file?
This mod works by removing the dirt textures and then regenerating the facegen textures for NPC's with dirt on their faces. You can have the mod for female NPC's beauty marks overwrite this mod's facegen. Bandits and prisoners and such would work the same way, by regenerating the facegen for those NPC's. In this mod I chose to not do that.

Here is a tutorial on regenerating facegen.
It appears you may have missed Lokir of Rorikstead.
"Exceptions were made for NPC's like prisoners, murder victims, hunters, adventurers, bandits and afflicted."
