Hi everyone. Having taken stock of everything in my life at the moment, I've decided to go on indefinite hiatus from Skyrim modding. I'm letting you all know so that you will understand that I won't be responding to any comments, bug reports, or messages for the foreseeable future. If you'd like to make a third party patch or translation of one of my mods, you may feel free to do so and release it.
I have appreciated all of the affection many of you have shown towards my work, and hope that many more will in the future.
Having read the sticky post by the mod author, I would like to ask to other users if this mod is safe to remove mid-game.
The reason is that when I used DynDOLOD for the first time, it told me to disable this mod before generating LODs. It actually refused to run unless I removed the shimmer fix from load order.
After LOD generation (with the large references bug workaround enabled), the only problem I found was the disappearance of the majority of parts of the College from a certain distance. Disabling the shimmer fix .esp solves the problem entirely.
At this point, my question is... Does "safe to install mid-game" mean also "safe to remove mid-game"? When I load a savegame created after the moment I disabled the .esp, I get the infamous message "this savegame requires xxxxx.esp to work". At the moment, I don't want to take any risk with a savegame cleaning tool.
Unbelievable. One of the most underrated mods period. This is a huge problem people couldn't figure out for a long time. I HATE dyndolod. I can't stand when people suggest it to me. This mod makes it so you dont need it. Now I can still enjoy solid 144fps and still have killer LOD's. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
dyndolod generation is not necessary to use dyndolod itself ;) Dyndolod itself is a lod generator based on xedit but with compatibility patches and tweaks to avoid troubles. Just do not tck the generate dyndolod box if you use large references.
I often get asked how people can donate to support me, and that's appreciated, but there's people who need donations and support far more than me. So if you've ever considered donating, I hope you'll consider lending a hand to the victims of systemic racism in America and the people fighting against it, with their lives and freedom at stake, right now.
