Hi! First I love this mod and was so glad when I found it because I felt like it looked fantastic without seeming unrealistic to the fantasy period. And it works great, I'm only having one issue and I'm not sure what is causing it so I just wanted some advice. I fully intend to keep using the mod even if I can't solve it.
Specifically, all NPCs using the HairFemaleNord01 and HairMaleNord14, don't use the replacer. Those are the only two hairstyles I've come across that don't work and the specific NPCs that I've come across myself, are Vex, Embry, Lokir and Valga Vinicia.
I didn't want to do the manual patch if I didn't have to just because I'm not super experienced and I don't even know if this is an issue that patching is necessary for/or will even fix.
If I have to live with it no big deal but I thought I'd ask for some insight before I threw in the towel because the screen shots of Vex are beautiful.
That sounds like there is a mod in your list overwriting them and giving them custom vanilla hair, or you potentially have another hair replacer somewhere that is specifically replacing those files, like potentially the hairs from High Poly Vanilla Hair or Vanilla Hair Remake. That is just my guess, as load orders are very personal. Hopefully this helps you!

VHR - Vanilla Hair Replacer - Main Version - downloaded yesterday from Main files (actual version), or VHR - Vanilla Hair Replacer - Females Only Version downloaded on 8th of Nov, both have this problem and the solution (copying extra parts from nord02) works for both as well. Same problem/solution is actual for HairFemaleElf09, and as I get it now, it's the only part is needed - hairline base for this race/sex.
Upd: just got BIB version and made a patch for it, there was around 10 hair objects with this problem both male and female
I've tested this mod thoroughly on multiple load orders and never had an issue with hairstyles not working, so I can't replicate it, however I'll keep this pinned as I'll be looking into it
Не знаю почему, но после установки мода на замену волос у мужчин и женщин лица стали темнее. Я отключил все моды на лицо, тело и волосы, а ваш мод все равно вылетает вот так. Vortex говорит, что конфликтов нет.
I recently ran a trouble installing Ada Wong Follower, her face turn into Vanilla. I just shrug it off, maybe thats mod just not working. But i was shock upon stumbling Elisabeth Follower mod also turn the same, into Vanila face. As i know this mod works for me before. And as i look into Elisabeth SSE mod post, someone mention that VHR is the culprit and as i disabled VHR, voila both mods work. Is there anyway for this mod to work and didnt mess my other follower mods? I have tried to put those follower mods on the last load order and still notjing works.
Yes, you would have to just turn off Face Discoloration Fix, as that's lwhat's causing the issue. It would mean that some of your npcs won't update their hair to VHR, but if that really bothers you you could update that facegen manually in the creation kit to replace them with VHR hair.
hi, thanks for this amazing mod. i just wonder is there a way to not make the mod distribute hair to all NPCs ? and have it be just a replacer for vanilla hair instead ?
Thank YOUUUU for the "female version only"!!!!! I never have issues with mixing mods with women npcs... however theres always something conflicting with the men and im tired of fixing issues it takes several hours to figure whats causing conflicts and how to override stuff.. So this helped a bunch
