For those who want to pick their birthsign like in Character Creation Overhaul or similar mods, I have another mod called Choose Your Sign which provides that feature.

Hello Parapets, how do I patch this to the most recent version of Adamant?

You mention in another reply planning to make a version of this mod that works with perk overhauls that deviate significantly from vanilla and thought I'd take a look at your profile. You're quite the prolific mod author and clearly still active but I see no new version of this mod so I'm wondering if perhaps the idea was scrapped?

I've been wracking my brain trying to come up with a simple way to patch this so that it simply counts perks in a tree rather than looking for specific ones but I don't see anything of the sort in https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/Condition_Functions and it looks like currently the mod just uses the HasPerk condition.

I've never needed to play with conditions before in my limited experience patching things so when I see something like
    Subject.HasPerk(Haggling00 "Haggling" [PERK:000BE128], 0) = 1.000000 AND
I don't really know what to do with it or even what I can do with it.? I assume nesting conditions and defining variables would not be trivial to do entirely in an ESP and might require a script? Any resources you can recommend for learning this stuff would be highly appreciated. :P

Ideally I'd like to patch this mod myself to work with Adamant but the trees of that overhaul never have just a single primary branch, there are really only 2 perks per tree in that mod that could easily be considered primary.

Yeah, I have a habit of planning updates and putting them off for a long time. Lately, I was thinking of retiring this mod entirely as I don't agree with some of the choices I made anymore.

For this update, I thought it could be possible to use a script to scan through the perk lists (they have lists that are normally used for the Black Book perk refund mechanic) and give you bonuses based on how many of those you have.

Hi, this looks very nice, but i guess it wouldnt be compatible with a mod like Better Vanilla Perks without a patch? and can u suggest a racial mod that would compliment your mod? thanks!

I'm not familiar with that particular mod. I tried to accomodate perk mods at first, but as I kept needing to update those patches I decided to stop supporting them. If I come back to this, I may implement the mechanism a bit differently so that it can be used with any perk mods.

I don't use a race mod, but I would probably either pick Race Balance by sushisquid or Aetherius by SimonMagus616.

I've been using this mod for a while and found something interesting. With the mod installed, player will reach a higher level with a lower skill level. (Player level progression has not changed) This means that the difficulty of the game is increased. I don't know if it is intended, but I personally like it. I prefer hardcore mode to achieved skill specialization. The idea is really lucid and cool. I hope I made myself clear because my English is not very good. Good mod, thanks!

Hi Parapets. Thanks for all your hard work - this looks like another great mod. A couple questions, though. Your description says skill bonuses depend on the primary perks in each skill tree. What does "primary" mean? And will this work with Growl, Sacrosanct, Thunderchild and other mods that add perk trees?

Does the Vokrii patch still work for the newer versions of that mod?

No, I'm planning to make another version of this mod that will work better with perk overhauls that significantly deviate from vanilla.

Is the Uncapper Preset here like Adaptive Leveling where only 6 skills are needed to reach 80? Thank you in advanced.

    Hello Parapets,

I've been looking over your mods for the last few days and have been working on a document that I'm going to use as a guide for my upcoming Skyrim YouTube series. I really think your mods are the most streamlined and intuitive mods for Skyrim out there. They seem actually try to improve the core mechanics of Skyrim instead of adding fluff and content on top of broken systems.

I do have a suggestion for the Tower stone. I looked into it a bit and from what I can gather the Tower stone represents a simple building and has effects targeted towards thief characters. This leads me to believe that the Tower symbolizes the stereotype of the Thief's ability to climb buildings. I understand that this could be completely wrong as a tower could just represent a locked structure. However, if the tower does represent climbing and thievery then the decreased fall damage is a really neat addition as it represents the Thief's ability to jump from structures and survive. Now here is my suggestion. Lower the fall damage decrease to about 50% and increase jump height by a noticeable level (25-50%). This would symbolize the Thief's ability to climb. This could even be fleshed out more by only allowing the buffs to take effect when the character is not wearing heavy armor.

Just and idea. Thanks for the thoughtful mods.

    Thank you,
    StalkerX

I'm looking for ideas for a new Tower Stone because I think I missed the mark on that one. Suggestions are welcome.

Would you consider releasing a Standing Stones only version? I like your take on the 'vanilla-plus' improvements and they look very good especially when there aren't many other alternatives for replacers besides Andromeda.

Yeah, I can do that. Would it be better if I left the resting bonus tweaks in or reverted those and The Lover to vanilla?

I too would love a Standing Stones only version. I'm okay with leaving the resting bonus tweaks in but doesn't matter too much.

I may as well also chime in that I would adore a standalone version. I personally dig your changes to the Resting bonuses as well, but if you're hesitant, putting them in an additional option file might be the best bet.

Although it's a bit odd to couple this in this reply chain, I would like to offer a critique of the Tower Stone of all things -- going on the notion of 'vanilla-plus'. The inclusion of the 95% reduction in fall damage seems the furthest change from vanilla out of all of your Standing Stone tweaks, and if an update is imminent, I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

One of Andromeda's abilities for this Stone is to automatically open locked doors up to Adept level (infinitely), and I feel that something similar to this would be a better inclusion alongside your present ability of unlocking Expert level locks once a day. Maintaining an emphasis on this stone being for characters that abhor lockpicking makes more sense to me personally.

Regardless, great work on everything. Definitely looking forward to the next release!
