What the heck are you on about? No one else is reporting any issues with this mod. This mod is extremely old & the original author hasn't been active in years. Don't know what else to tell you with regards to a so-called "remake"...
I appreciated the foggy atmosphere and the last temple "dungeon" was quite fair, and there is never enough mods using Vicn monsters... but if you, like me, don't love killing hundreds of zombies, coming often by groups of 10 enemies... well you can pass this mod. I felt like I better did. There is not a great introduction to the story and you just find yourself killing tons of mobs without much of atmosphere or immersion, other than the fog ofc :)
are you able to keep the book? or will it get destroyed if read? I'm assuming there's a spell it will add. mostly just want the book haha also know anyone who would be willing to work with me on a mod about the book?
I know its protocol and its just kind etc but i find it ironic that permission is sought for a mod that's based on someone else's cinematic work and used in a game that is also someone else's work. Lol. Not dogging the system in place, just find it sorta funny. FYI i love evil dead movies, met Bruce Campbell several times at comic book conventions, nice guy
...also this was updated to form 44 correct? TY ff7legend LOVE YOUR MODS AND PORTS! (how do you make so many??? who has 400 mods?!)
All my ports are in Form 44 format. Form 43 has NO BUSINESS being uploaded to SSE Nexus period. It's outdated & will eventually corrupt save games due to duplicate FormIDs spamming the save.
Sorry hope that wasn't insulting to ask, considering how many mods you port I would have been surprised if that wasn't automatically part of your process. It's unfortunately something I run into from time to time with ports so I had to ask. I will try to make a note of that for your mods in the future. Ty
Okay I finally played thru this today so I'll give my thoughts.
There's an endearing level of jank that's inherent to any mod trying to recreate something that's far removed from Skyrim so obviously you can't go in expecting a 100% accurate Evil Dead experience but it did a better job than I expected, honestly. Seeing the cabin recreated is always very fun and I love the lil chainsaw sword but there's a huuuge oversight in not incorporating Ash's outfit as armor you can find at the start.
Honestly my biggest complaint is that the hoards of enemies (because literally the second you go thru the portal you're assaulted with an unreasonable amount) get tedious to fight real fast. I guess it's meant for you to play at a higher level but i have 8 followers (i love how chaotic they are together ok) that helped keep enemies busy enough that fights were easier to manage instead of dogpiling me all at once. Even then areas sometimes took way too long to clear (the graveyard was real bad about this imo). On the bright side, when you're done you get a toooon of gold, a couple of summons, boss armor/sword, and you can walk away with a bunch of black soul gems. The armor didn't account for me being a skeleton so now I have a skull head on a fleshy body, nips out and everything. I can just pretend I'm Skeletor's slutty cousin.
I merely ported the mod as provided by the original author... The mod was designed to be high-level/late game. If you having issues with OP enemies & whatnot, make sure you have a Bashed Patch.esp (Wrye Bash) present & active in your load order. Bashed Patch.esp helps ensure proper balance/Leveled Lists/loot tables based on character level. Said patch should be loaded LAST in one's load order.

Note: Dawnguard.esm must be active in your load order. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Challenging Spell Learning (my favorit)
Better Spell Learning
Immersive Spell Learning
Not sure if this helping with the book mentioned but maybe it's worth a try.
The dude has a solid blend with adventure and questing
when other mods only focus on quests.
