Hi all. Any of my ENBs will technically work with AE version however, those presets that are (enb weather supported) require SKE64 and ENBHelper to identify weather codes and load the settings for that particular weather for best visuals. Granted, SKSE64 should be updated for AE but, it is looking like ENBHelper may not get updated due to author no longer working on Skyrim. You can use any of my ENB for AE but again, those that were designed for enb weather support won't quite look like it did on SE side. I apologize for the inconvenience. I probably won't do any updates to the ENB presets either until I see a more stable mod support for AE.
Edit: Looks like SKSE and ENBHelper have test versions out therefore, if you updated to AE make sure you are using the correct SKSE and ENBbhelper versions needed for your Skyrim version.
V5.7 (2 Sept) Updated for ENB Binary .462. Adds in terrain parallax effect. Just note, at this time the setting can't be disabled/enabled in game. Has to be changed via the enbseries file.
---- Please read -----
How to Install or Adjust settings- See videos on description page. It is a little different than my other ENB which do not have weather support at this time.
ENB Binary- Make sure you are constantly checking if you are using the most recent binary. Boris often updates without a version change which is important cause it often fixed bugs.
AA- I have added SMAA into the ENB (Thank you Rudy for help with this). It is up to you if you want to just use SMAA and/or TAA or FXAA or even both. Folder 3 I show how you can disable SMAA if you don't want to use. I still find TAA to be the best AA method though.
Light/Lens flare - Currently (until fixed by Boris) lens flare is highly noticeable unless you adjust your skyrimprefs. It looks pretty bad. You will notice it if you are having issues. Open skyrimprefs and under [Display] look for bIBLFEnable= 1 and make bIBLFEnable=0.
Animated Stars effect- This was added as of 2.0 due to enb binary .341. However, I do have it on but, it really depends on the star mods you are using. No mod is best and the animated affect works best with vanilla sky. You will most likely have to adjust the animated star settings under [Sky] to your preference and mod used.
Night Eye- Night Eye Fix (Thanks to Phinix, author of Truth ENB) has been put into ENB. However it is turned off by default and can be turned on by the user in the enbeffect shader. The default setting is turned for vanilla night eye effect. If you using something to alter nighteye/vampire vision you may need to adjust the night eye fix settings. See video on Desc page on how to tune in. Its really easy
Issue downloading/extracting- Use 7-zip. Its a free program and will solve the issue
Nights/Interiors too dark/bright- Use the quick adjustors in the enbeffectpostpass shader (I show how in folder 3 and "How to adjust" video). Or in the enbeffect shader for the time of day adjust adaptationmin setting.
- Need more FPS- If you want the best quality but slightly more FPS and don't care for the God Rays (it is the biggest FPS hitter) just disable the prepass shader via the enb menu in game.
--- Special Thanks ----
Thanks Rudy for helping me get SMAA into my ENB and Phinix for the Night Eye Fix. A true gentleman and a scholar. Of course still thanks to L00ping for getting reshade effects into my ENB as well in the ENB early stages. Additionally, Adyss for his amazing ENB Shader Add On. Thank you for letting me add into my ENB. Truly, amazing modder.
Thanks for the continued support for all my ENBs. I do appreciate it very much
Of course thank you to all the users and supporters.
All, in recent versions I updated "Night Eye Fix". It is enabled by default in current version. It may need some user tweaking. Please see my how to video on description page. Also note, it is not a perfect fix. It has issues where it can conflict with spell, shouts and other effects if shares similar parameters that trigger the fix. No way around it at the moment.
If you notice your screen flashes and turns a dull color when using a spell, shout or other effect its the fix triggering for a second. It is not a bug. If you don't care for this you can disable the fix in the ENB in-game menu under the enbeffect shader and look for "use night eye fix" and uncheck it.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this amazing ENB, it is by far my favourite. Also THANK YOU so much for providing such an amazing guide, be it on youtube or by the readme.txt - you are an awesome creator and I just wanted to tell you: I truly appreaciate that. Happy Holidays and such :D
I have a problem: My own huge-modding assembly going up for 244+ FPS without active ENB. But when I'm start playing with any ENB preset (Alexa's ENB or Rudy's addon for NAT.ENB, for example), then my FPS going from 244+ to ~10-20 maximum... I still dunno what happen and why my PC support DirectX11 only with stable FPS in another games, not in Skyrim SE. I trying many things to fix that s**t, with many many new games upper 30-40 character lvl, inclusive. But playing with 10-30 FPS in interiors and 5-10 FPS in exteriors is so f**king tr... So, anyone can offer me HOW MUCH MUCH MUCH PERFORMANCE LIKE ENB preset? And yes, I'm already tested some of popularity Performance like presets. It's firstly, help me only for upgrade my FPS to 40+ (not 244+ as usual) and secondly, looks like very raw and ugly... Very ugly. Like, I'm still playing without normal quality ENB on LE skyrim version with DirectX9. I'm very tired to challenge with my PC, settings, ENBs and other things... So, I'm only wonder for knowleage from players who have ENB presets, which run theirs skyrims on 244+ FPS with enbseries.ini samely how if without active ENB. Actually, for Lux and NAT.ENB preset, cos I'm user of those guys.
Yes, I can play without ENB continue with 244+ FPS, but... But with very raw and ugly picture... I hate vanilla Skyrim graphycs. And only playing on ENB. And yes, thats NOT cos I'm wrong around SkyrimPrefs.ini or enblocal.ini etc. It's not depend on this. If they are wrong for that moment - I'm still have 10-20 FPS without any active ENB. I asked only for performance preset.
Writed with help of translator. Thanks for understanding.
Thanks @firemanaf for a quality preset that isn't too terribly mod heavy. This has been my go to for the last several years. However, there's one thing that I'm trying to debug and I suspect it requires tweaking enbseries.ini.
Specifically, I am running into a situation where the screen goes very dark, almost photonegative when fire explosions, or burning effects are generated. This seems to happen with spells in particular, i.e. Fireball is the worst offender, but Flames doesn't.
When researching this, I found http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=94496#p94496 as a reference, but I'm not 100% sure what would be the best way to tweak the values. Would you have any advice in the interim?
First of all this ENB is the best out there but i got a little problem. When playing the screen switches from normal to much brighter, then normal and then brighter again in a kinda 5s rhythm. (a bit like if I would watch to the sun, this kind of bright) Is there a way to fix this?
Hello firemanaf! Wonderful work youve created here and im really intrigued :) no, no theres no bug or complaint i just wanted to ask what tree mod you are using to get that scrumptious looking snowy tree in your screenshots. thanks in advance :)
I've not played Skyrim in a long long while, but coming across this and Cathedral Weathers and Seasons was like, this looks like a brand new game :D Absolutely stunning!
