Is there a way on SSedit to modify stats for the javelin's projectile (i.e Sneak modifier, base damage, enchantment application (i.e. having whatever enchantment applied to the weapon apply to the projectile).

    any help would be appreciated

bro I dont think you can "poison" the projectiles without copying the "poison arrows mod" script, the game always try to enchant the base weapon and the projectile is thrown through a script un-related (to the game at least) to the original javelin. The game only recognizes bows/crossbows that shoot projectiles with the engine and not scripts...
The javelin damage probably can me tweaked in the projectiles tab when viewing the mod on SSEdit, sneak damage should apply automatically if the game recognized you and your perks when "throwing" but I think you wont be able without scripting that as well.
Hope it helps. I'll take a look at it and let you know, this mod is on my list of mods to study and modify (Ive been modding this games since oblivion and theres almost nothing aside from .dll mods I cant handle)

i was looking for the same thing, the javelin throw was way overpowered in my play through, after digging a bit looks like its handled via script, literally called 'ssm_JavelinThrowDamage'. I'm no scripter but the values in here seem pretty straightforward, gonna edit this and compile it to see, should work just fine.

Adding my voice to this guys, if anyone knows of, or knows how to make a mod that enhances the spears appearances, it would be much appreciated.

So the Javelin Throw benefits from One - Handed perks and not from Block perks? Am I getting that right?

Has someone an idea how to distribute spears amgonst gurads or generally put them into the leveled lists? I kno bandits get them sometimes, but I would love some more widespread distribution. Thanks for the hints!

Creation Kit. Or you can add item to level list. Or SPID. Each response is less difficult in their respective order.

This mod is just great! So incredible to have the spear weapon and animation option!

    1) ESL: Can this be ESLed? ESPFE Follower - Eslify facegen and voices lets me do it, but there is a BSL file (that I did not open up) and scripts.

@ashingda (or anyone else: The permissions are very open) It would be great to get an ESLed option! You may have to compact it, then update the scripts to point at the right stuff. But I have not tried to look at the scripts so I am just guessing. The script sources are included! There are some other great ideas in the comments here for a new version, too!

    2) Spears from other mods: Many mod added spears work correctly, but not all. How do I make the mod recognize spears from other mods as spears? For example, the pretty great mod Blood Glass Weapons and Armor has short spears, but they are seen as swords, not spears, so they get sword animations in 1st and 3rd person?

    3) Skeleton/Body Stretch: I had a situation where after installing this mod female bodies got distorted (stretched breasts, etc). I have 3BA and a simple installation of XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended (XPMSSE) - Basic Install. I also have Immersive Equipment Displays and other stuff. I saw in MO2 that this mod was overwriting XP32. I could not find others mentioning the issue. I seem to have fixed it by just loading Skyrim Spear Mechanic SE above XP32, MO2 left side.

    4) Needs better instructions: Also, it would be nice if there was more installation info. Specifically load order and compatibility info. Any load order ideas would be helpful.

    5) Animations - 1st and 3rd: I had the issue where this mod had correct animations in 3rd person but not 1st person. 1st just had sword swinging type animations. I have Comprehensive First Person Animation Overhaul - CFPAO installed. I fixed it by installing CFPAO - Skyriim Spear Mechanic 1ST Person Patch. There is also Animated Armoury and Skyrim Spear Mechanic First Person Patches. In the comments there, PolarRobotFrog, the MA of CFPAO, said they plan on an CFPAO update that will make CFPAO more compatible with other mods.

Thanks again to ashingda and all others who have helped make this a reality!

I'm curious. I really like the shield bash vanilla killmove, so is there a way to make the spears NOT throwable? thanks

I don't care about the killmove, but I'd also prefer to be able to disable the throwability feature for purely practical reasons.
