NOTICE ON COMPATIBILITY AND PATCHES: I follow the philosophy that a modder mods for themselves first and shares their creation with others. As such, a modder may not use every single mod out there that may run into compatibility issues. Odds are, I do not use SkyRe, PerMa, etc etc etc. I do not know if they are compatible or not, either. I will make compatibility patches if I personally use a mod that may clash (as the case with Ars Metallica) or if it's not too much effort. Others may make compatibility patches with my permission and review (you must still acquire permission from the other interacting mod's author as well!) and I may post them in Optional Files here with credit in the file's secondary description text. If you do, remember proper mod etiquette and make sure your patch is free of Identical-To-Master overrides (ITMs), Unintentionally Deleted Records (UDRs), and Wild Edits. TES5Edit can clean up the former two automatically if you set it up to.
Please do not ask for compatibility patches or if a mod is compatible. Your question will directed to this stickypost. If you have skill with the CK and/or TES5Edit, you can check for yourself if things are compatible, and try your own hand at making a patch. As stated above, I may post it in the Optional Files section.
Do not engage in entitlement attitude and publicly state you will withhold endorsement unless compatibility patches are released or I do some other thing to the mod. Your post will be summarily ignored at minimum. I am far from being the only modder who does not like such demands.
I will not be making bows or arrows. The Dawnguard already has crossbows, their specialty item.
Hi MadCat221, love your mod, it's great to see dawnguard getting more weapons to use. I am thinking adding enb lights on some of the magical weapons would be a good idea. Would you kindly give me permission to use your assets to add enb lights? Thank you.
As many types of characters I've played, and role played, I've always ended up becoming a "Dragonhunter Vampire Slayer Spellsword" with spell in my left hand and a weapon on my right, switching between Dragonbane (a sword that does extra damage to dragons + shock enchantment), and a silver weapon (a weapon that does extra damage to undead), and I used an enchanted dragonbone dagger for when I'm sneaking, for maximum damage, all while wearing a pretty beast enchanted set of Dragonscale armor (I like the light stuff lol).
Initially I stayed with Skyforge Steel because of the higher base damage (+3), but dang if it doesn't matter at all anymore. The Elite versions are amazing.
Now it's simply Dragonbane (which, I wait until level 62 to get it because that's when it's maxed in strength), and an Elite Dawnguard sword/dagger, and I love it.
If I could make a request? What are the chances of different appearances happening? I think a 'katana style' Dawnguard swords would be SWEEET!
Edit: (Unrelated). If you do luck out and find the Chaos enchant, do max out destruction and get the extra effects of each school. It is HILARIOUS because you never know if your enemy will flee, freeze, disintegrate. I'm hoping one day to see all three combine. As the enemy flees and I land the killing blow, he disinegrates into a pile of dust, trapped in an iceblock that's also on fire. *maniacle cackling* mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaa!
Do you have the Advanced Armors perk? Are you far enough along that the Dawnguard smithy is set up? Do you have at least one in inventory? Is it unequipped? If any of those are "no" then they will not be recyclable.
I had a wonderful idea for an spell arsenal for this, a spell called Wall Of Sunlight
Wall Of Sunlight does Sun Damage to Vampires and Undead, as well as werewolves. Wall of sunlights damage has additional points added for each kill / assisted kill. Wall of sunlight does not work on the living nor uncursed.
