I'm an Xbox player who would like to bring this mod to the attention of the community to find a modder who can port it to bethesda.net.Can I have your permission? thanks in advance for the reply
I tried it with Stone Hills Reborn and it looks fairly compatible. I spent a good 10 minutes evaluating the area and only saw one little spot where the snow doesn't sit flush with the ground, but you'd really have to be looking to find it.
Good news - this works with the Stony Hills Inn from Inns and Taverns SSE by phoenixfabricio, and additionally fixes the ugly vanilla water seemingly left untouched by popular mods such as Realistic Water 2. The combination of this mod and Inns and Taverns helps expand Stone Hills without adding [what I felt was] an unnecessary new dungeon from the Stone Hills Reborn mod, which also had the vanilla water covering up the entrance to the dungeon, anyway.
Unfortunately I just discovered that because Inns and Taverns is a port of a fairly old mod and we can't pick and choose what inns to install, it causes ugly landscape clashes with a lot of other mods I run with, so I've had to uninstall it. Oh well
I just found this mod and installed it. Awesome job. Thank you! I also wanted to report that when my character sat on the benches in the hot springs, the heat source worked perfectly to completely warm him while using Creation Club's Survival Mode.
I double checked and realized that as long as my character stood near the steaming areas where the benches were, even without going into the water, he'd feel the warmth. Works for me anyway. :)
The tavern in question actually fits perfectly with your mod, almost as if they were made together. I'll post some screens.
Great mod, definitely a good location for a pick-me-up soak!
*EDIT*
PixieSophie below posted issued with Frostfall and this mod using CoT. I personally use Obsidian Weathers, and can confirm your mod works with Obsidian at the very least.
For those using Frostfall Seasons addon, you may have difficulty staying warm in the springs in the winter months (I tested this mid Sun's Dusk with a cold modifier of -14). You won't die, but you'll get to freezing and hang there. My coldness settings using FF Seasons are a little extreme so that's on my end I think.
Thank you for your comments and sharing your findings. The warmth of the springs unfortunatley did not transfer over very well from the original file and I am not sure why; warmth is working better in classic Skyrim, I actually made the springs with Frostfall in mind and used its tutorial for heat sources. I am using COT in my game and have no issues but again that is in Classic Skyrim, still prefer its look over SE. SO any problems are probably due to porting issues; I also noticed weirdness with water surfaces in some areas (In this SE version) and do not have a remedy for that. Hope the springs are still enjoyable in any case ;)
Have you ever considered reworking the tiny settlement of Stonehills? I've always thought it could seriously use a few more houses, as the people there sleep in tents and there isn't even an inn. Just a thought......
The thought has crossed my mind particularly for a small Inn, but as pointed out there are already some other mods that do that. There is a fairly old mod that adds many more taverns and one is in Stonehills and it works with my mod; I am not familiar with Stonehills Reborn or if it would work. You would think that workers at a busy mine in snowy country would rapidly move past the tent stage and build cabins and there are several mods that address this but they make the place too big for my liking. I may do something about that in future ;)
I looked at the screens for Stonehills Reborn and I do not believe that mod will work with my mod; its Tavern and ruin are placed right on the same spot as the pools and if not cover them entirely will probably cover most. Might make for an interesting effect to have the ruins sitting in hot water ;) I am seriously considering adding some housing on a smaller scale using some custom cabins, but to do it right the navmesh of the entire cell has to be redone and that is allot of work but there is a chance that I do it. If I do however I will make it a version of my "Hotsprings of Skyrim" mod which includes this spring and I will make it for classic Skyrim first then port it.
Kursan, thank you for replying. Some other users had the same concern and posted their questions on the related mod's thread. I quoted your response over there for more exposure.
Buddy, you have to bring your own babes, I only provide the scenery. And no worries about the edges, the only thing that could melt those is your irresistible charm

EDIT: Oh jeez, oops. I thought this was the comment section for your other hotsprings mod!
Might be a little late but just wanted to confirm that after testing, this mod does indeed work with Inns and Taverns SE:
