I don't know about you guys but I reckon those Alcehmists have been pushing dangerous potions to the public and may have failed to disclose the studies showing an increased risk.
This, Immersive Anxiety and Immersive Headsman should be bundled together for the full immersive Skyrim experience :)
But seriously, the popularity of immersion mods shows that there's definitely a market out there for a more "simmy" game experience. I myself lean towards it quite a bit. What I want from a game like this is a more or less lifelike experience, but somewhat compressed in time and space (for convenience) and with magic and dragons - and where my chance of "winning" at whatever is substantially higher than it would be in real life. Getting the balance right between gameplay and simulation is quite a trick for developers, and I think for everyone the balance point is a bit different, so since the gameplay side is more of a common denominator, they always lean more towards gameplay. But the audience for a more simmy experience, while not the majority, is still substantial, and usually underserved - which is why it's nice of Bethesda to allow the modding option in their games.
Got to epic massive battle, having one of those 'this is so cool' moments. Fell into cardiac arrest and died because I was too busy laughing at the timing.
