I absolutely adore these textures. They're glorious. However, I had loads of trouble getting them to appear in my game and I want to help anyone else who may have the same issue. For some reason the files (which are 4 mountain texture files) have extra wording. I only discovered this after both my mod managers (MO2, Vortex) AND the game itself rejected the files and wouldn't load them. It was only when I went into the zip and renamed the files that they finally worked. They should read (without quotes, of course) "mountainslab01.dds", "mountainslab01_n.dds", "mountainslab02.dds" and "mountainslab02_n.dds".
This is the first new mod I've added to the Special Edition of Skyrim, which I only just began playing today (after not touching Oldrim for years) so I don't know if the strange naming of this mod's files have anything to do with something else related to the game or its file architecture, I just know that they didn't work for me until they were renamed. So if you have the problem of loading up this mod and seeing the same drab grey mountains of the regular game, see if renaming them will help. Pay close attention, two of the files end in numbers and two of them (and only two of them) end in "_n".

this is an absolutely incredible mountain retexture. I love the lichen especially. However I found some rocks that were completely white and appeared untextured. Is it ok for me to retexture them myself using your textures? Thanks for the incredible first texture!
Excuse me, I have installed 2K material, and there is no effect after entering the game. I'm Chinese and can't speak English. This passage was copied by translation software.
This is a late statement but I concur, it's exactly what I was looking for. There was an old Summer Skyrim mod for Legendary that did something similar to this, now I can't play without the colors. I get that Skyrim is supposed to be nothing but dull grays and whites across 75 percent of its landscape but I don't care, lol.

Fits well with CC's HQ caves and mines.
All the 2k downloads are named mountainslab01_resultat etc. but work fine after changing to mountainslab01
