Daedroths are large bipedal daedras of crocodylian appearance, and fearsome ferocity, that display considerable intelligence despite their look. Mostly found in the service of Molag and Dagon, these daedras can be encountered in different shapes and sizes according to their status, but always as formidable adversaries.

With a body heavily protected by thick scaly plaques and thorns, what stands out most in their voluminous bodies are their long claws and large mouths filled with sharp teeth. Daedroths however do not usually use their powerful bite very often, out of pride in their own status as intelligent daedras, and seeking to be seen and accepted by other higher clans (such as the dremora or xivilai) as equals to them, and not as animalized beasts. Able to manipulate the element of fire, they use powerful fire breaths and fire balls in combat, and their powerful sharp claws.

Initially all Daedroths had similar appearance, larger than an Altmer, and much more muscular, thorns covered their heads, back and tail, with their color varying according to the plane of oblivion in which they inhabited. They spat fireballs and their claws had a weak venom. Some with more important functions wore armor. Still common to this day, however this family branched out due to the events of Planemeld during ESO.

Molag employed several Daedroths he trusted as high-ranking leaders of entire armadas, and aimed at protecting the Dark Anchors, among them, Molag's favorite Daedroth, Menta Na, and Hrelvesuu. Both failed in their missions, along with so many others, and were punished, along with their entire armada of Daedroths, by Molag himself, to become what would come to be known as Lesser Daedroths, of human stature, a body much less muscular than their old forms, with smaller claws and teeth, and which would now need to resort to weapons to defend themselves. These Daedroths had their pride offended, and many found ways to be summoned to Nirn and leave their home realms, to avoid undergo the constant humiliation of having been demoted to forms they consider inferior. Menta Na and Hrevelsuu are found again in the events of TES 3, as Lesser Daedroths, hidden in Nirn, and in the case of Menta Na, we are ordered by Molag himself to kill her, forcing her return to Molag Bal.
These Daedroths resort not only to weapons, but some also to small shock skills.

In return, the ones that were more successful were also transformed, but into a superior and even more terrible form known as the Daedroth Titans. With varying size, ranging from a little larger than an ordinary Daedroth to sizes that are only surpassed by a Daedric Titan or similar abomination, these Daedroths were seen during the invasion of Dagon in TES 4, and have more bestialized appearance, and a much more destructive magical potency, being able to produce fire breaths that surpass even some dragons, in addition to being protected by the best armor. Dagon, not surprisingly, copied the model of punishment and reward to his own Daedroths, as evidenced by the aforementioned invasion of TES 4.

Linguists will point out that "Daedroth" is also the proper singular form of "Daedra", but for these creatures the common usage is Daedroth (singular) and Daedroths (plural), with Daedra (both singular and plural) being used as the generic term. The term "Lesser Daedra" is sometimes used (again, both singular and plural), though this appellation technically refers to Daedra of all types beneath the Daedric Princes.

You can buy randomly the books to learn the spells to summon the daedroths, or find them as loot on the world.
