Akanthawr, thank you so much for making and sharing this home! I was searching for a home for my new Dragonborn who is a tomb raider, and Dragon's Rest seemed like a good choice. When I got to it in game, I fell in love!
The location is great - beautiful and peaceful, quite close to the start of the game and the center of the province. The outside, stairs and the door, look impressive. The size is just right! I love the mix of the atmospheric open ceiling space (I always loved the entrance to Sky Haven Temple for this reason) and secluded private rooms. It is a perfect mix of a cave and a small nordic tomb. I love the rooms and the furniture, but most of all love the details that you chose. Again, it felt like it was meant for my character the moment I got inside and saw certain items that are a perfect choice for my Dragonborn, like the Amulet of Talos, Spirit of Nirn, figurines of Talos and the female goddesses. The choice of items is great and very lore friendly! Feels like my character has actually lived in that place and now they return home after Helgen. There are books and some valuable things they might have collected over time, yet nothing is over the top, it's very realistic imo.
I couldn't be happier with my new Skyrim home, and I'll upload some screenshots here later so that more people can see how awesome this home is. :)
Instead of taking the space to repeat what was said here, I'll just say: "What they said". The only "problem" I have (and it is MY problem) is there is not enough storage/display area. But then again I am a packrat and love to show off what I have found, even if it's only for me. This is a VERY beautifully done home and I do love the view from the front porch.
Hey can you explain what you mean by " Hearthfire multiple adoptions and has a room equipped for two children" because multiple adoptions means up to six children.
The Multiple Adoption mod by TMphoenix not only allows six adoptions but also allows you to use a custom-modded home. Without that the adoption is only limited to vanilla Hearthfire houses. However, the number of adoption available in a house is up to the house modder, not the multiple adoption mod. And in this case, the house modder only provides two child beds.
I normally entirely dislike these types of homes (ancient Nord tombs, large open empty floor plan) but this one actually looks ok. If you could add a screenshot of the location on the map I could see if it conflicts with any of the other popular mods and decide if I can use it.
Thank you. Since you picked a relatively conflict-free spot for this home, I might just give it a try on my next playthrough. Couldn't hurt to add another mod the House Mods Merge.
Looks nice, but a more detailed description would be nice. Does the kitchen have an oven? Is there a forging area with a smelter? What do the followers and kids rooms look like (followers using single bed or double beds)? As I said, a better description, or more interior pictures, would greatly influence my decision to try this out, or not.
Awesome place ! can i make suggestion? put some planters for us alchemists and add 6 beds for children . Also in the enchanting room the linen that is covering two furnish are flickering for me . Love this mod.
