Malborn's face in Vanilla Skyrim is set to the default Wood Elf face with no edits in the creation kit, making him a very blank looking NPC. I came across a different unused Malborn NPC in the game files which contained unique face edits. I took those edits and applied them to the original Malborn NPC. He has his own face now!

As far as I know, no mod has addressed this issue yet. (Including Cutting Room Floor & the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch)
