Old mod but wanted to say how glad I was to find it. Both Smilodon and Wildcat increase the damage dealt/received in Adept to 1.5 / 1.5. This saved me the hassle of playing around in xEdit to reverse these changes. And both Fair and True difficulty are nice improvements for playing at higher difficulties.
Vortex does note the ESP as "something made for the original Skyrim" though. It does not look fatal, just thought I'd bring it up. Maybe there's a flag somewhere that needs setting.
edit: Opening the ESP with Bethesda Creation Kit and saving it solved the problem. Anyone can message me if s/he'd like a hint of how to do it.
0.005 means i do half of the half of the half damage right? cause that is what i did to make the game interesting also i putted monsters to do 10 times more damage all this in legendary difficulty ofc :D
This old mod might still deserve some hype since Skyrim VR does not support SKSE. I ended here sinceI am trying to get a higher difficulty by raising enemy (effective) health pools and prolonging encounters without putting too much burden on player health management (which is a pain in VR). This mod sounds promising for that. Cheers.
Thank you so much, I love it, and easy to change. i play legendary difficulty and still i find it pale on the damage system, with this I can make battles a bit more epic, like me doing 20% damage but they don't deal that much damage in one hit as 300%.
Here is my setup:

Hi, my name is HoJin. I have played Oblivion, Fallout3. After 8 years of wandering, I returned to Bethesda & Nexus after all and bought Skyrim Special Edition. Thanks to you, I could get a big clue to a solution of my current problem : how to decrease the amount of damage increased by a mod called "wildcat". After adding wildcat, I noticed that everthing related to damaging became 1.5 times more powerful. For reference, my difficulty setting is adept. However, I was getting more tired and sometimes felt angry and puzzled, because I watched too many scenes of my poor lv.6 chracter's being killed. So I thought that since a lot of AI options & settings of wildcat already made game challeging, if the attack multiplier could be set to 1.2 instead of 1.5, the balance would be ideal. After that, I spent and wasted many hours to search, but I couldn't find how to change this value. Most of them was doing it in console. But what I wanted was permanant modification. Then, your mod was found. I was so delighted. This was acually the only solution to a user like me without using MCM. So after editing the value of your mod to 1.2 and locating it to the lowest position among my mod lists using NMM, I launched my Skyrim, but the damage point of steel greatsword remained the same : 27.. Not daunted, thinking that maybe this could not be duplicated, I tried to find the same parameters you explained in the files of wildcat mod. And there it was! So, after modifying wildcat esp and in this time without your mod in my list, I ran the game again. But the result is the same. What the .... how could this be TT ..What could possibly went wrong here ? I will greatly appreciate if anyone helps me ~~~~ !
I think what this mod does is not changing the base damage of your weapon, but to alter with the multiplier of damage. Say u changed from 1.5 to 1.2, that means the 27 dmg sword not deals 32.4 dmg rather than 40.5. Hope that clarrifies
