i'm worried that this will effectively make the Deathbrand quest uncompletable, since you have to mine out a vein of stalhrim out of a wall to progress to the ending. does this mod have a fail-safe or something for that?
You can hit the ore vein three times then open console, click on the stalhrim, and type "disable" or https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/74244
I was going to ask this very question. What about that one stahlrim you have to remove? I'm assuming the disable command is only fix like it was for the original. I know there was a mod to fix exactly that one for Oldrim.
It's not the mod, it's you using it on a game save. The problem is not a bug, but just how the game engine works. Any mines that you have previously visited will only drop the vanilla amount because ore veins are already baked in the save file and will only produce the vanilla amount. It only works on ore veins that you haven't visited yet. Basically, this mod is most efficient on a new game. Try starting a new game and test it out and see if it works. I guarantee that is the issue.
happy to say that your mod is still working in 2024. Can you perhaps give me instructions to create a mod similar to yours but with increased amount of ore mined?
This mod just changes the vanilla MineOreScript.pex file. It should be compatible with all versions of Skyrim, whether it be SE, AE or even the original Legacy release. Since Bethesda didn't upgrade the Papyrus Scripting Engine for SE, script made for the legacy version will still work in SE without any conversion or recompiling. That is because they continued to use the same shitty 32-bit scripting engine that is used in the original release and why scripts are still a bottleneck issue on the more up to date 64-bit engine that SE/AE runs on.
Anyone having trouble with ores? Mine decided to become untouchable, cannot simply click "mine" on them, and when i walk on them i just go inside the ores...
Go to bed mod is overwriting this mod make sure to place it below that mod. If anyone is having an issue with it not working im using the latest AE version 1.6.1130.0
Hello This worked well enough on its own using a pick axe and chop, you just continue to mine and chop, But I didn't want to attack the ore min to min or just teh old vanilla way, But if you also have the mod , magically mine, which I find nice to use for mining, it will constantly mine ore using that mods spell, adn both mods play nice with each other ... Just saying, I was just trying this, out, but prefer for my magic playthru to use the mine ore spell... Thanks for the mod tho !
