    About any custom follower you've asked, and will ask in future:

    All followers that use the vanilla(original) dialogue quest, are compatibel and 100% supported. All that do not use the vanilla dialogue, are potentially incompatible in that regard, that you will not get any vanilla dialogue structure and/or break their custom made dialogue system.

    However, there's an exception, if you use the provided MCM cheatfunction, to recruit any NPC at will. What you will get then is dependent on situation, based on various criterias, such as vanilla/custom dialogue tree, voice type, player/actor level, coded failsafes:

    1. A completely messed up dialogue structure, but potentially working custom follower for both systems
    2. A follower that can not be cheat recruited with FM mod, because of missing voice type support
    3. A custom follower that will use FM Mod system dialogue, but has its own dialogue structure broken, and thus basically is fubared
    4. A mixture of both chaotic worlds, if you use mods, that enable diverse voice types for actors
    5. No change, if the custom follower is very well coded, and safed against cheat attempts to recruit them

    There are custom followers that are so well coded, that they allow for choosing the custom and/or the vanilla dialogue system.

    So what I recommend: Do not use any custom non vanilla dialogue based follower with FM, unless there's a patch provided, and expect it to work flawlessly, unless stated in the description or changelog, though the info is way back from 2016, and might no longer work, since the creators kept updating their followers, and I need to update FM accordingly...which hasn't happenend in 3 years...;)

    Major update, with tons of minor bug fixes, refined menus, major code improvement, but also some extremely buggy features removed (custom combat style/classes). Also the number of followers has been reduced to 3+1 animal. At one point I figured there is access to an abundant amount of followers with iNPC, and any of the major single follower mods installed. Next update will fly in any time soon, which will exclusively address iNPC compatibility. Changelog:

    Release 5.4.2020, Version 0.6:

    - major streamline update
    - moved from max. follower number 5 to 3 for balance reasons, not even mentioning the removal of major code bloat
    - added missing facegen textures/meshes
    - removed all FISS related code, FISS is no longer supported!
    - add various none checks
    - add manual coordinates, and scale values, to compensate for the loss of FISS
    - forwarded most recent fixes from USSEP
    - ask for skills available only for followers now
    - entirely removed any of the experimental features(skills, custom class, custom combat style)
    - removed buggy manual leveling up of followers...deal with it!
    - fixed dual wielding not working on default combat style
    - Added new actor classes: Knight, Paladin, Thief, Rogue, Conjurer, Warlock
    - rebalanced all classes, f.e. gave them all equal point distribution(18), made dedicated classes more focused etc.
    - combat style will now be automatically applied when choosing actor class
    - fixed lightfoot perk not working under certain occasions
    - follower stats menu will now show any possible attribute
    - added new category to follower stats menu
    - mcm shows follower name now
    - major code improvement
    - added more strings to localization file
    - new feature: follower perks, based on skill levels, see nexus page description for insights
    - moved back to original UI extension stats menu variant

    With the inventory window up, how do I flip between followers? I did it once by accident but haven't been able to do it again.

      You need to hold "inventory" button (mcm menu) for longer.
      Something like: 1, 2, 3 sec for followers 1,2,3 (but apparently there is a bug that caps followers at 2, not 3)

    This mod is really cool and pretty clean compared to other follower's tweak mods like AFT. I don't really understand what the "I have something to teach you" line does and if perks actually works using a perk overhaul.

      I tough my follower some simple healing spell, as an experiment, and he was using it sometimes during combat. vet 1.6.1170, 16.3.24

    It works alright 1.6.1170. Nice to have some keybindings. But I can only recruit 2 followers and not 3. Came back here to investigate.

    I see several people search for a list of classes, i'll try to give you an overview of skills and attributes a class get with level up.
    The attributes and the skills are sort by growth (eg. in archer Light Armor will be >= of One Handed, One Handed will be >= Sneak and so on), brackets means the stats grown the same (eg. in warrior Two Handed, Light Armor and Archery).


    • ARCHER - Hp, Stamina | Archery, Light Armor, One Handed, (Sneak, Alchemy, Smithing).
    • WARRIOR - Hp, Stamina | (One Handed, Heavy Armor), Block, Smithing,  (Two Handed, Light Armor, Archery).
    • MAGICIAN - Hp, Magicka, Stamina | Illusion, (Alteration, Restoration), (One Handed, Alchemy, Conjuration, Destruction, Enchanting).
    • SCOUT - Hp, Stamina | (One Handed, Archery, Light Armor, Sneak), (Block, Alchemy, Lockpicking, Speechcraft).
    • BARBARIAN - Hp, Stamina | Two Handed, Light Armor, One Handed, (Block, Archery, Alchemy).
    • WIZARD - Hp, Magicka, Stamina | Destruction, Restoration, (Alteration, Illusion), One Handed.

    I've got this info by changing class to Lydia and reading her stats after changing my level (so the stats update to the new class) and removing the stats Lydia has at level 1 (nord race). I think you can get this info also on the wiki searching for actor classes and guessing the corresponding one.

    I don't know how combat style are influenced by the various classes, so i can't say nothing for that.

    Is anyone still using this mod and are your playthroughs bug free?

      It seems pretty ok, several features are just changing values (you can do it also via console, without mod), but i don't use the widget so i don't know if it can cause bug/glitch.

    This is just what I wanted, with one flaw - the UI looks like crap alongside Sky UI. I'd sell my sister for gold (if I had one) for a Sky-ified version of this!

    definitely keeping an eye on this one, looks like it could be the best follower mod out there with a few more updates. hope you dont/havent abandon this. 

    just for some clarification, if i recruit say Sigrid from riverwood or any other vanilla non-follower do their skills/level still scale with player level. or does that part only work with vanilla/modded followers(follower faction). hopefully that made sense. 

    because at the moment i use EFF as the lightweight, Nice UI follower mod with Proteus so i can edit the levels of forced followers(not followers by default) and edit their skills and add perks all manually which is kinda annoying but the only way ive found of reliably doing it without bugs. 

    also i know this is picky but do you plan for doing a UI update of some sorts to make it a little cleaner, its very practical and does the job well but compared to the other follower mods it looks a little chaotic. only a minor issue tho. 

    (this isnt meant as complaints just a question and a little constructive feedback)

    I just got One question. Can you make the followers you get stay at a place or area by commanding them or telling them to wait after i tell them. after i disband the follower will he/they stay in the same spot i commanded?
