Forgive the query but has the mesh been converted for Skyrim SE? I'm only asking because seeing USLEEP, as opposed to USSEP, referenced on the description page is sometimes a red flag to an Oldrim mod not having been ported properly.
Ah yes, sorry. However, I did not make the mesh twice based on both the USLEEP and USSEP versions, but converted the one based on USLEEP to the SE. I tested it and everything seemed to be fine, but I didn't really check if there were any differences between the USLEEP and USSEP versions (or the LE and SE version of the mesh). Anyway, I also tried the LE version with the SE and it worked just the same. However, I am not too familiar with Skyrim meshes and especially not Skyrim SE ones, so if you encounter any problems, please let me know!
Thank you for the detailed response. I believe it's the case that meshes from Oldrim mods need to be run through something called Nifscope for them to be considered completely safe to use with Skyrim SE.
Yes it works perfectly, and it looks great but why dosen't the rock change with the mountain mods or mods that supposedly change all the rock textures? Does it have it's own texture file? I know that Riften has it's own texture files but one random rock in a city? That's weird. And I never noticed this before you pointed it out.
It does change with different mountain textures, but the uv map is so bad that it doesn't make a difference which texture you use. I only edited the model, it works with every mountain texture.
Another one of those mods that I never knew I needed until I saw it. And since there is nothing to take up a plugin space, I say what is the harm in having it?!?!
The only other mod I can think of that touches this stone is Enhanced Textures Detail UV Tweaks, but I like how this looks in your picture, so I'm going to give this a try. Since ETD is just meshes, should be able to overwrite with yours without a problem. Thank you for your work on this.
Yes, that mod only upscales the uvs, so the seams and stretching remain, but I not only made a new uv map but also smoothed the model itself to make it less blocky.
