There were no bugs. Mod works fine even on my 2349234802384 mods install. It's either a conflict or someone forgot to save after setting the timer and the settings were reset to what they were on the last quicksave which is loaded by the game by default after the timer ends.
If folks want a toggle free camera to go with this, try the Free Death Camera on LL ( https://www.loverslab.com/topic/93988-free-death-camera/ ). This will allow some movement of the camera after death, using the mouse only (no controller support). Not tested on ragdolling the 7000 Steps! I am using this on Game Version 1.5.80, have not tested it on 97.
I have no idea, as I don't have Skyrim VR, but it's perfectly safe to install and uninstall mid-game. If you do try, let me know here and I'll add a note about it!
I keep CTD every time it tries to load a save... probably on my end, 251 plugins running. Just curious if anyone has the same issue and a solution. I love watching myself ragdoll down mountains!
Try the optional file, it's not configurable, but it's literally one number tweaked up, if it still crashes with this one, it's definitely due to something else.
As for the other one, if Bethsoft broke it (again) by updating the ads in the main menu I swear... Anyways I haven't touched Papyrus in about a year and honestly this whole scripting language is a mess, so I'm probably not going to fix it unless I really really want to get back into Skyrim at some point, sorry. ;v;
Well - I wanted an extended death cam and here it is.
As Elwaps commented below, I decided to toss this into the Creation Kit and add Skyrim.esm and Update.esm as masters, which it really does need. Additionally, I found I could give the ESP the ESL flag, so I did that.
In the MCM Set my death cam to 15 seconds (save game) and ran some dramatic console player.kills (falling down stairs etc) and the mod works fine. And I have close on 350 mods in a busy game!

I'm starting to get the itch to start a new character and the semester is starting to make me want to jump down the 7000 steps in ragdoll mode, so no promises, but I might try getting back into it after semester ends, in which case I'll probably upload some cleaned up and fixed version of this.
I did, the new files have both as masters. I never found it to cause any error not to have them though as this is editing a value that's been in the Construction Kit without even needing to load anything since... Morrowind.
I can probably learn something though, what error did it cause?
I'm already endorsing you, but if you can manage to get that free-cam working after death (since the other person with the Death Cam mod hasn't updated in a long time, and idk if they're going to) I will endorse you TWICE! Somehow..
Oops, is there a bug I'm not aware of? If so, it would help a lot if you could fill a bug report with details as to how to reproduce it and about what version of the mod you use! ^^

It's now flagged as ESL at least.
