I think it has something to do with the script FlamingFamiliarUnsummon, which replaces spellSummonDraugrBomb in the mod, at the Non-Player Character (Actor) section. This summon apparently only uses the explosion through this NPC script part? And something over there is probably not working as intended upon the familiar getting killed.
To anyone wondering, this mod is 100% compatible with LE, I just opened the esp with the Creation Kit and saved it, repacked the mod and added it with MO2, no problems so far
IDRC if the mod works or not , as I'm going to rip it apart and copy paste a bunch of the mechanics I was about to have to do the work on myself in TESVedit for my build. If anything is broken I'll fix it myself. I'm in the process of reworking the remaining summons in my game into scaled summons. This will be the new preferred (when melee is needed,) familiar of fire mages in my game. (Game is not shared with anyone no worries.)
So for that reason and for including source file, you can go ahead and take my endorsement as soon as the 15 minutes is up.
Sorry to bother you, but would it be difficult to make this familiar level up with the player's level? sorta like a "permanent" sidekick/ familiar. it kinda feels bad to just toss old familiars away for better ones at later levels :(
This looks like a very handy tweak to an already awesome spell. BTW, you should enable the Mod Manager download button, as most people use these programs. I don't know why people use those things. It's way more convenient to install mods manually, don't you think?
Thank you. The Download With Mod Manager button also works in other mod managers, like Mod Organizer 2 which is what I use. All a mod manager needs is a NXM Handler for the link to work. Plus, the mod will still have a Manual Download option, so it doesn't inconvenience people who do not use Vortex or MO2 and need to download the mod manually.
Also, when you decide that you are no longer going to update this mod, you should think about making this mod an ESL. Do not do it if you plan to update the mod, because the update can break game saves. But if you feel that you are done with this mod, then please consider changing the plugin into ESL.

Supposedly, destruction perks that work with fire don't work with the base flaming familiar, do destruction work with this?

Good tool. Thank you.
Regards.
Edit: I tested better and decided to enable the download via mod manager.
