From what I understand, this item is non-consumable? I'm looking for something that can be found scattered throughout the world, but once read, disappears like a spell book, but you can use it as often as there are many on the map.
You can easily compact the mod and add the ESL flag, no problem. There are only 3 new records in the mod. It doesn't overwrite any vanilla records and can go anywhere in your load order.
This mod is just what I was looking for... Tried a few others but they were point per level modifiers and I already console commanded my new playthrough so that didnt help at all.. Thank You
This mod absolutely still works, right out the gate after installing it through vortex, this works.
Keep in mind a lot of issues with mods and bugs related to them in skyrim is affected by Installing/Removing mods mid-save or failing to clean save files with fallrim tools. Bethesda's own DLC files also contain significant errors that TEV5 edit is needed to clean, this mod now has an auto function that makes it very user friendly. I have over 200 mods running, consisting of a plugin count of 87 light plugins and 95 heavy ones.

This mod also works perfectly for me and has been a staple of my load order for YEARS. Never had a problem with it.
And Skyrim is fascinating game. It's evolved from a roleplaying game to a game that teaches you skills for working in a help desk and for doing change management as a system administrator. Genius!
Why is it, the little mission gets activated but the book is hidden in the Arcaneum, where am I supposed to find it. Im asking this because the items id doesnt appear when I type help ancient, or book in console.
VR users - I spent about 3 hours troubleshooting the mod in VR. If you use ASLAL or any other alternate start mod, this is how you can make the perk point giver book work:
1. Download the perk point giver book with your mod manager, but disable it (esp and plugin as well). 2. Start your game and create the character you want. 3. While you are still in the starting zone (You did not go out to Skyrim), save the game. 4. Exit the game and enable the mod (esp and plugin too). 5. Load your save from above.
It was working until recently. Now when I open the book, it opens like a plain book and no option pops up. I tried reinstalling it both through Nexus and manually. Neither works. Any idea what might be the issue?

And the book is going to be in your inventory. :)
I have to ask, how did you get that put directly into the player's inventory?
