Any reason why this being enabled while generating TexGen would cause CTD when approaching solitude when running DynDOLOD? I ran this with Texgen, and with dyndolod installed I would crash anywhere near solitude. I disabled this, generated Texgen, then ran dyndolod and now it works with these textures disabled. Any thoughts as to why?
Don't know. My game includes TexGen ran through DynDOLOD, and I don't get these issues with my modlist. Try disabling DynDOLOD esm (and esp) and see if that fixes it? Don't really have a clue though.
Yes. Download the non 4k version and install it. Afterwards, download this version, unzip the file, and copy only sdoorgate01.dds and sdoorgate01_n.dds from this file to your data folder.
in the data directory itself or in the directory where the 2 mods are kept through vortex? cause I just keep getting the old door by coping those two files into the non 4k version... unless is is the mesh files that need to be moved loose or in directory?
Oh dang, I forgot about the meshes. You also need to copy the meshes folder over to the non 4k version. Vortex is recommended, so you copy what's needed into the vortex's mod directory.
ok.. though non 4k didnt have a mesh directory that I can tell so it still should work though right?? or will I have to go blow my mind away in the CK that I'm not that familiar with to use

I'm not, if you notice it's not your texture. But I'm using your mesh, which I had from Oldrim for more than 4 years, and I didn't know it was yours anymore. I'm terribly sorry for that, I would never use another fellow modder's work without permission! Please tell me if I should remove it and I will do so immediately! Sorry again...
The base texture that you have for the gate is very clearly my work, I recognize it's been modified, that's fine, just please check mod permissions before including them in your own, even if you've modified them. Please add me to the mod credits and a link to my mod for legacy Skyrim. I do not require point sharing, however in this matter.
everything in this looks great but there does seem to be a problem with the solitude walls. while the texture looks amazing for the buildings the wall looks odd in regards to a bit of shine and depth which may have to do with the normal map as that texture fits the wall really well it looks as if a stone decal was slapped on

Thanks G I am a big fan of your solitude textures....Lod's would be good, yours and better quality; looking forward to the next mod..I even dumped Luxor's for these they seem more in keeping with Nord's / imperial stonework .
That's a good question I didn't think about, but during my testing I saw that the vanilla LODs are working fine, I didn't notice any problems when approaching Solitude from a distance.

BUT is there anyway we can get the 4k door on the non 4k version please

Generally, I picked selected files (a dozen) and replaced some I had already.
In the same fashion, 1K is what made sense to be 1K.
2K is what made sense to be 2K.
