this mod produces a conflict with skyUI, which most people use, where it overrides script/Ski_playerloadgamealias.pex and LOOT tells you to delete it so the version of skyUI can do its job properly. I tried to follow a video to delete the script from the mod myself but unfortunatelly only works with bsa files, not esp. If someone knows a way around this or the author sees this and release an updated fixed version would be much appreciated :)
For some reason this mod won't even work for me. It's not conflicting with anything according to Mod Organizer, and I even put the esp at the bottom of the load order. No dice.
This feature is present in KS Dragon Overhaul 2, a mod present in everyone's modlist who's interested in dragon combat at the slightest.
And yes, it works the same way: attributes increase per dragon kill. It also has MCM to configure how much exactly the growth should be and what to touch in the first place.
Firstly that mod has bugs that cause CTDs secondly I am sure the creator of this mod doesn't want your comment about another mod "that does the same thing" go use that one and mind your business.
I didn't mean to be rude or disrespectful towards the guy. I downloaded the mod and checked it out, then read that the idea of creating it came from the lack of something simialr on nexus (so said the mod author in the description), so i just pointed to something the author could have misfound.
@jpm22112, i think i'm more than capable of deciding for myself where and what to comment about. Be a brat with your mother, not online.
Haha what a high brow guy has to mention my mother, well done , slow clap of appreciation ,what a brave soul you are! and yes it does cause CTDs look at the 14 bug reports on the page.
Thanks for mentioning a mod I missed! I originally saw "Truly Absorb Dragon Souls" in a video, but realized it wasn't available in the SSE section on Nexus. When I looked for similar mods, nothing I stumbled upon really met the same criteria for my interests. I'll probably check out KSDO2 at some point, but it really touches more than I'm looking for during my current playthrough and probably isn't worth the potential issues that have been posted as bugs in the recent months.
Truly Absorb Dragon Souls does work on SSE, I have been using it for a while now but it seems this mod has higher attribute distribution configurations, so it can arguably be described as a better option.
I also just killed a dragon with both this mod and truly absorb dragon souls active at the same time and both added their attributes properly at first glance. Its also worth noting the truly absorb dragon souls also modifies player speed, armor and shout cool-down.
Nope, still no luck. I definitely think you need to add some kind of MCM .pex script to trigger the menu, I've never seen an MCM menu from a single .esp anyway. My guess is it's missing its script part.
I added the requirement for SkyUI since this mod creates MCM pages. After disabling everything else I had installed through NMM and only enabling my mod along with SkyUI I was able to see the MCM configuration page. If you don't have SkyUI installed I imagine that's the problem. If you do, and you still aren't able to see it then I'm unsure what the issue could be. Sorry you're having trouble with the mod!
Thanks for your support but I still can't get it to appear... I have about 145 plugins with multiple MCM config menus and all those mods have some sort of script for the MCM. Yours doesn't, and it doesn't trigger. It somehow makes sense doesn't it? Are you positive that your mod consists only of one esp or are we missing something?
Edit
Alright, I checked your esp through SSEEdit and I can confirm that the file you've uploaded does nothing on its own. We're actually missing half the mod
I just uploaded another archive which should actually have the relevant files this time. Thanks for being patient with me, it's been a long day and a long time since I've done any modding. With these scripts added I think it should work, but please let me know if everything is broken still.
Only one small detail : you get the buffs at soul absorption, not after the kill. If you don't absorb the dragon soul, you don't get the buff. But I'm nitpicking I suppose ^^
Thanks for letting me know. Not sure why that would be. The Actor Value modifications are called during the dragons onDeath event before any other functions fire. Unless there is a delay to the actor values (similar to speed not changing unless the players weight changes), I'm unsure why it would be delayed until after soul absorption.
To be honest... this is way to strong. You fight 30 dragons and is pretty much immune to everything without help from your gear. All your stats going up promotes the do it all build as well.
Yeah, I plan to add an mcm page at some point for those interested in configuration. I've hardly touched modding Bethesda games in forever though, so idk how long that might take.

Yep, it seems to be working as intended. Wonderful little mod. Thanks!
