Sorry for the late reply. I'm probably not returning to modding at this point and haven't remembered to check my mods in a while haha. EDM Redux uses vanilla resistances, so there is no need for this patch regardless of which KYE you're running.
Is it safe to ESLify Know Your Elements (and 'KYE Light and Shadow too)? They occupy two precious slots, and I need them for the Know Your Enemy/Armor Patcher.
Any chance of this getting ported to Xbox One? I play on Xbox and Love know your enemy and edm, would love to have this too so they can work together properly! Thanks for the great work!
Unfortunately I can't commit to an Xbox One port at this time. As it stands, best I can do for alternative platforms is to give my blessing/support to whomever wants to port it. (as someone was gracious enough to do with the LE version)
That's odd - I only added a couple records to the kye armors perk that gets added to humanoid actors, so that Argonians would properly resist Water and Orsimer would resist Earth.
When/where are you crashing? Are you also running KYE Light and Shadow along with the Know Your Elements patch?

Afraid not... Took a break from modding due to other obligations and at some point I lost my W.I.P. files, including several Fallout NV plugins I never got to release :/
While I've since gotten back to tinkering with smaller projects and/or releasing mods I had already uploaded but just never published (for various reasons), I am not ready to tackle anything that will require another serious time investment. That includes trying to figure out why the heck this update got corrupted and magically shrunk in size.
cannot seem to find the oldrim version of this mod... oldrim kye mentions this mod in its patching process. any ideas on where it is, or if it doesnt exist yet any ideas on how long it might take you to get it to work on oldrim? thx =)
TBH I believe the SSE version of the Know Your Elements .esp file just needs to be re-saved in the CK under the correct form type (43). The assets in KYE itself and the patchers should be identical between Oldrim and SSE.
I'll look into a proper conversion within the next few weeks, but if you want to do your own back-port you are certainly welcome to do so.
It's not a dumb question at all. Actually, I just learned that back-porting to LE (Legendary Edition) is not a viable option, so I'll have to rebuild it from scratch in the Oldrim CK (Creation Kit).
This requires somehow acquiring Oldrim, so it's going to be a bit more complicated than I had originally envisioned.
If anyone has a line on non-pirated installer files for the LE CK, it'd sure help the cause :D
i have oldrim but its on steam. if youd like pm me and i can send you my steam user id and you can walk me through how to get everything into CK and make it work and i can do the labor side of things. then send you the file and you can upload (just give a small bit of credit for me helping plz =p)
IAmDarkPhoenix was gracious enough to convert the mod to LE and explain to me the procedure. Should have it posted in a day or two, along with a back-port of KYE Light and Shadow (my other mod).

You need to run zEdit after installing this file--when Know Your Elements is detected, the patcher will distribute all of the relevant traits and whatever resistances/weaknesses go along with them.
I see you've installed the 7.2 version of KYE, but I can't tell if you have installed zEdit since it's hosted offsite. It's important to make sure you're using the most up-to-date patcher, which has to be run after this mod, KYE, and EDM are all installed and loaded in the correct order. I could troubleshoot further, but without an error message or a description of the problem I am just guessing.
I have plans to work with Shadow Spell Package, but I need to see how it was implemented before I can comment on how much interaction there will actually be (without going into too much technical detail, the resistances added from Elemental Destruction Magic had an odd implementation.)
I know for sure I'll be able to get Shadow Atronachs to inherit KYE traits--I already spoke with the author of Know Your Enemy about that part--it's just the vulnerability/resistance part of that mod I am hesitant about.
Sun damage would be another good integration, one I had not thought of yet. Again, would have to examine the technical requirements first, but sounds like something I may tackle later on.

It's stable, and I consider it feature-complete, so there shouldn't be any issues, but you can always PM me if something comes up.
