I installed the mod, but i dont see option to create soul gems in the forge. Is it compatible with SkyUI and Constructible Object Custom Keyword System NG? Those are only two mods that i can think of, that could be not allowing it to add new item to the forge menu. I have put cs_soulfragmentstosoulgems.esp in the middle of my load order, actually autosorted it with loot, but im happy with it there and didnt change it.
EDIT: Tested it by putting esp on bottom and on top of load order as well. Didnt change anything. Im also thinking about mods like Object Categorization Framework. If i understand correctly that mod creates keywords for other mods to use for their UIs, so im thinking if there isnt a keyword "polished soul gem fragment", perhaps Constructible Object Custom Keyword System isnt putting the "recipe" in the forge menu.
I didn't see you mention it, but do you have a linen wrap in your inventory? That's required. I also use the Categorization Framework and the Custom Keyword system. I don't know what else it would be as to why it's not showing up for you.
Ohhh, when i have the linen wrap, new recipe shows up and when i have enough polished soul gem fragments new recipes to make functional soul gems also pops up. Very interesting. I thought that recipes would show up grayed out. Thank you, i think its working now!
Hello! I was very excited for this with AE because it adds "Soul Stealer Arrows." Been working towards being able to craft those. To craft them, you need "soul gem fragments", but it's not recognizing the "polished soul gem fragments" as a craftable item. Any way to can make it so that the polished fragments are recognized as regular fragments so I can craft these arrows?
What about a version of crafting them in a smelter as if it is a supplementary part of Skyrim Recycling(✪ω✪)? Those who use Skyrim Recycling have got used to recycle clutters by smelter. I previously use Soul Gem Fragment Patch for Skyrim Recycling but that mod is not compatible with the newest Skyrim Recycling.
Really cool mod, love the work you did. I've got skyUI installed and I've got a linen wrap in my inventory but the gems aren't showing up in my smithing crafting menu. Any suggestions? I'm using the AE DLC, too, if that affects anything.
I'm using AE as well and it works for me. Only thing I can think of is you also need to have fragments in your inventory. Also, if another mod doesn't use the vanilla soul gem / fragment ID's, But I'm not aware of any. Mesh replacements are fine. There may also be another crafting mod that potentially inhibit soul gems or fragments from showing. I believe Complete Crafting Overhaul Remastered (CCOR) has an option in their menu system to only allow black souls etc.. to be created say, only at night or at specific forges.. So that could prevent it from showing. These are just spit-balling ideas though.
I have fragments in my inventory, and don't have any other crafting mods installed. I'll check out CCOR though, maybe that will fix it. Thanks for your help and for making such a cool mod!
Would it be hard to disable the Smithing experience gain from crafting Gems via SSEdit? I feel the experience gain is pretty overpowered, and makes leveling smithing conventionally (which to be fair, is ass) inferior.
Yes, as I don't touch experience at all. I just added a few craftables. Vanilla skyrim handles how much xp one gets. May have to use an xp crafting mod like (Complete crafting overhaul remastered) CCOR? .
