Ok I've gone through the 3D tree meshes and changed every texture path to point to textures\lod\TA\ and then added all the necessary textures there at a greatly reduced size 256x256 & 512x512. This should give a noticeable performance increase when using 3D Trees albeit 12mb more VRAM. Yes the quality suffers but it is still miles above traditional billboards. Edit: I've now since gone through the textures and colour matched them by comparing in nifskope.
Hey winedave, love this mod, but Im getting errors when generating LODs in the latest version of Dyndolod 3.0 (Alpha 52). Any advice?

Nope, not using 3D trees at all, Im using Myrkvior... I will try reinstallning the mod and make a new LOD-generation with the latest Dyndolod Alpha-53. Ill report back to you after this, cheers!

Just found this mod because it was listed in the new RedBag Falkreath patch fomod.. so glad I did!! Love the trees and the placement, I have been spending the last few hours fast travelling around checking for problems and have found none!

EDIT: Also, thank you for the DYNDOLOD instructions on the description page, I first ran it with my default settings and the LOD looked terrible, so I changed to match the screenshots and they are gorgeous! :)

hey bro how does your dyndolod look like that in the desc, mine has none of those feature and im thinking it might be another version? cause my options are very limited compared to yours
i am missing the mesh mask/ reference rule menu, i feel like its important but im not sure, and sorry to go even further but how do i get trees to be 3d at a farther distance, like OD far
When i worked on this last there was no Seasons. Tho i made some pretty bad winter versions for some trees, kings trees included, so a patch could be made pretty easily for seasons
Hello, It seems your personal messaging is disabled. I was hoping to obtain permission for asset use in an overhaul mod I'm working on. I love the natural sway of these trees vs. the wavy water effect that others use to simulate winds. May I use these in my mod, will full credit given, of course?
