Conversion to Form 44 entails nothing more than opening the plugin in the Creation Kit and saving it.
Step by Step: 1] Open the Creation Kit 2] From the "File" Menu, select "Data" 3] Double- Click the esp you wish to convert to select it 4] Then tick the "Set as Active File" box, bottom left of Data Window 5] Click "OK" 6] Back to top left of window, Click the "Save" icon or select "Save" from the "File" Menu 7] Close the Creation Kit - All Done
NOTE for all re: my original post: I long ago solved this problem by installing texture replacers for both arrows and quivers. Am now over 2000 hours into the playthrough I was about to begin when I posted, and have honestly never thought about it again.
Hi, while looking for a similiar problem I found your fix. When you have the error, do the arrows look fine while lying around or in the menu and turn invisible when equipped? I think the Iron banded shield might have the same problem. What would be the equivalent way to try to fix this? Exctract the Vanilla mesh and put it in the right spot?
To answer your fist question it wasn't until fired that the arrows turned funky.
To your second question: The iron banded shield isn't a mod added item, is it? Making this fix, I extracted the mesh for the vanilla steel arrows, altered its texture path in nifscope, and placed them where the skyforge arrows mesh used to be. If you tried something similar with a vanilla item, I'm not sure you'd achieve anything. I would make sure you don't have a remesh installed for the banded iron shield first, and if so, deleting the mesh from that mod should revert it to vanilla mesh and textures.
I hope this has pointed you in the right direction.
Thank you for your explanation! And you were right, extracting the vanilla mesh to force the game to use it didn't work. Also the vanilla banded iron shield is invisible while equipped (amidians textures for it don't come with extra nifs.), it was just a texture. No other meshes for it installed, no idea how to go on. I don't think it's that Vampire race bug because it's a vanilla item. I'm using a high poly dunmer race, but every other shield is working. So I'll roleplay it as the Invisible Shield of static air or something ;-) I'm just a little annoyed because I'm using the shield a lot right now. Time to get better equipment... Thanks again!

If the latter, can it be installed directly into SE, or must any changes be made - beyond simple conversion to Form 44?

(I just saw amidian had recent update for sse, under skyrim + bonus files, haven't tested with that yet, only old version)
