I almost like the idea of this mod, but it seems like the mod author doesn't support it that much from the lack of posting about it. Also it doesn't work with added spells or spell mods, so we're stuck with the small list of spells the author gives us. On top of that it's just highly incompatible with other mods and it seems there are no other mods expanding upon this mod. It would be nice if other modders added on to this mod to add more spells.
The Black Blade of Disaster - Conjuration - Create a blade-shaped, ultra-thin planar rift that acts as an incredibly powerful sword for 3 minutes. The rift deals 20 damage each hit (24 with Mystic Binding) and ignores all armor and cannot be blocked. The wielder regains 2 health each second. Each hit has a 15% chance to steal 20 health from the victim.
What does “cannot be blocked“ mean exactly?
Does that mean if i swing the sword on an enemy holding up a shield, the sword will just phase through and slash him ignoring the block? Or does it mean it will hit the shield normally but still deal full damage making his block useless? Because when I am using it I am still getting blocked and recoiling as usual.
I love the idea, I was searching for some way to add spell slots - just seems silly that my 2handed Axe wielding warrior should be able to summon dremora, heal endlessly, and cast the most destructive spells without ever having dabbled in magic at all; I want magic to be very limited. I just wish this was more compatible with other mods such as Ordinator (which has Vancian Magic, but that's still OP). Maybe on my next playthrough!
could anyone make a zedit patcher so this is compatible with other spell mods? i want to use it with chronomancy, a spell mod that adds in 20 or so spells that manipulate time but like other magic mods, it costs magicka to use instead of spell slots because it's not made for this mod
I really like this concept, but many mage items give magicka regen as one of their main bonuses. Would it be possible to make the magicka regen effect do something different so that it would feel more worthwhile to wear robes, for example? Same goes for magicka bonuses really. Though I don't know if this can be done without individually editing every piece of equipment, I'm not sure exactly how that works.
to have such limited casting means each individual spell has to be meaningful rather than spamming 30 lightning bolts to kill one bad guy. I'm assuming the spells are very powerful and each cast is impactful?
Not sure if you tried it already, but it would be interesting if you added in "class" mechanics, where you have to choose whether to be a Wizard (more spells but you have to prepare them at the start of each day), a Sorcerer (less spells but you can cast whatever you want whenever you want), or a Warlock (even less spells than Sorcerer but you regain all or some expended spells if you wait for a couple hours).

I'm guessing anything would have to be placed before this mod in load order.

To clarify, I don't know how to remove all of the spell tomes
